Cap/Topper Style, flip up rear window or Barn Doors???

I'm so done with climbing over a tailgate. Barn Doors.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I had planned to get the ones from General Spring for a while, but decided I should "Buy once, cry once" and have something that should work the first time. Can't wait to get them. https://www.generalspringkc.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=90%2D221HD

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I knew I could squeeze three panels up there.. I had to open and close the vent several times to check the clearance. There's like 1/8" on the opening side.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Been sitting around recovering from a bit of scheduled surgery. Also, just turned 40. Haha. The combination is hard on the bank account. Decided to bite the bullet on the Archive Garage springs. My truck has been in need of a leaf upgrade since day one...

Crazy deal on a nice setup. Some of those parts are mostly unobtanium.

DIY 5 pound propane tank bracket

Haha.. Same here, but not having access to a TIG welder it was a purchase that gives peace of mind.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

That's impressive, but looks a bit complex. It'd probably be a bit pricey to have someone weld it up.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I'm not sure of the differences myself or even if those tabs would have prevented the damage I'm seeing on mine. Here's another shot of it. It's gotten a bit worse as a few shops have messed with it.

Wonder if these might fit. Would be nice to have the protection. https://www.chaosfab.com/accessories/1996-2004-Tacoma-Lower-Control-Arm-Cam-Tab-Gussets-59960

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Last time I had to mess with the lower arms was with my 02 Tundra. I brought it over to Slee Offroad and let them do it along with some other stuff. I had one of those annoying driveline vibrations at the time. Those plates look like a great idea. It'd be nice if someone picked up on that.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Yeah, I don't know yet if it's really seized up. I try to keep everything pretty clean under the truck, but this part looks a bit sketchy. I'm going to grab either a new OEM arm or a used one that includes the cam bolts.

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

Huh.. I don't remember a vote. Offer it as an add-on. I'll stick it on the side with a couple spacers! Actually, some kind of add-on bracket that can mount to the side of the rack and match the profile would be pretty useful for accessories that you don't want to interfering with the bars.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

That's some great info. Thank you. I was reading about the downsides of shade when wired in series. Supposedly, these Renogy panels have by-pass diodes but it's looking like keeping three in parallel would be best to maintain that safety margin. I'd be adding the third panel on the sloped...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I like having this extra info available. There hasn't been much of a load on the batteries, but it's fun to see how it's working. I'm using two 100w Renogy panels in parallel. The charger is good for 75v/15 amps. I have a third panel I'm not currently using and could probably wire them in...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Thanks. It's a constant learning experience and space is a real limitation, but I find it much easier working with a more visual layout. There's also always more cool stuff I come across that has me changing things up. I'll probably swap the meters to a Victron BMV-712 next. Maybe one of the...
