Adding rigidity to semi-flexible solar panels?

The LG panels are good stuff. The 300 and up panels are fairly new. 310's were new last yr. Sold out fast I ended up with 285's on my house. 25yr warranty and rated at 18% efficiency which is pretty good stuff. We do 53kwh per day in July. The mini system on the camper are two 10watt panels. We...

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

I found if the shock pressure is low vs your weight it will do this. The general rule is psi similar to your weight. They do need to be topped up occasionally just like the tires.

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

It did get rediculous. I finally upgraded my 1991 GT hard tail fixed fork MT. And yes it was ridden. In HS it got me out to work 3-5 days a week for 4 yrs 4 mile each way. In college it averaged 50 miles or more a week doing school transport and MT rides. It saw its 2nd rebuild at that point...

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

Upcruiser great feed back. Funny I have an OB our second Subaru since 01. Ours is the giant rear seat 2010. We moved from the old subaru for the big rear seat. Two kids also. I'm really considering the Diesel Canyon as a Subaru replacement. Our camping rig by design is set up for the Subaru. But...

    1985 4x4 Econoline - Road Trip Prep!

Yup. As I said we nearly bought a diesel E250 4x4 but the dealer didnt want to deal. The funny story is my dads buddy bought it. Both vans were special order by the dealer. I know because both were stripped basic models no rear windows even!. Ours had low back fixed two front seats and no...

    1985 4x4 Econoline - Road Trip Prep!

Hey Keyeser. Our 85 351 had a similar heat spike for several yrs since brand new. We kept taking it in to the dealer. Nothing found. I also suspect this heat spike during a trip in hot temps was what popped the ignition relay that resulted in a costly tow. We had a local drag engine builder...

    Pro-Rig V2.0 - Home Built Compact Composite Pop-up

Interesting info on the smart alternator circuits. What truck are you running? I wasnt sure if Auto makers were that fancy/advanced yet with the auto stuff. Interesting. I skipped the fancy battery idea during a big upgrade project on my boat. The alternator and dumb electrics that had to be...

The beta 300 is interesting. I know a few dirt bike nuts who are really excited about the Beta stuff. After putting 70'000 miles on my Honda in 6yrs I'm kinda loyal to Honda but hate their lack of light duel sport options. They do seem to be trying to fix that though. I like the reworked 250...

The 90's gms vs todays GMs? Really? Come on you guys. Hell 90's Subarus were complete ********. Yet today Subaru is killing every maker on Profit per vehicle and cant make enough. I do think the lack of correctly geared manuals today is bad for the industry. Especially given how complex and costly...

The Traverse the old prior version was pretty lame and had issues. But these days AT failure is not uncommon across all brands. Especially 6+ spd ats and cvts. But miles vs failures the CVTs have a collective better record today. Probably because hybrid taxis.

    Forest Service Road Adventure Mobile

I put our house dehumidifier in our Lifetime tent during clean up to dry it out. Takes about 40 minutes to dry it out. As a check you can set a jar lid with water in it. The dehumidifier will dry the jar lid bone dry in 40min.

    Subaru Outback Tires, Going Flat...Thoughts

Could be bad luck. I had a rash of flats on three different cars a few yrs ago. I just put BFG Advantage T/A Pro on our OB. I have about 1200 miles on them. Towing to the muddy dump they grip nice in the nasty mud. Did great in Tahoe snow and ice. So far dont seem to impact highway mileage or...

    2015 GMC Canyon

Wow! Looks great! I like the tight clean fit. So many of these stick out so far I feel like the owner should have two zipcodes. Fantastic work!

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

I had Geos on my Sequoia. Former owner put them on as a cheap alternative to the stock Michelin LTs. I hated them had lots of quality issues plus for the heavy Sequoia they fell appart started leaking etc. For the money I think there are better tires out there today. Geos seem to be priced too...

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

As for the towing stuff. I towed racing Sailboats for yrs, yr around in all sorts of foul weather and 1000 mile trips with zero mechanical or handling issues. All with a Subaru Legacy sedan and Outback. Boat weight all up ranged from 600 to 1800lbs behind the car. I cant tell you how many...

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

My wife has a loooong commute. Shes in a 2016 Fusion Energi Titanium with the upgraded interior. Super nice executive level interior. We charge the 7.2kwh battery on both ends of the commute. Free charging at work. $35,000 invoice car. She averages 70mpg in the winter and 80-85mpg in the summer...

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

My last 3 trucks have been toyotas. None of them have been as trouble free and low cost as the Fords and GMs in the Family. I'm not really brand specific. More like model vs price and options specific. The Canyon is the only midsized rig I'd have half a chance of my wife / err finance officer...

Who tows with a diesel Colorado ?

I'm looking to replace our 10 Outback limited with the canyon SLT or Denali. Nearly identical width. The Subaru Limited interior is between the SLT and the Denali in quality. Our limited 2.5 was 28k. I would never pay over 35k for an outback. The 3.6 is right around 35k
