Logic Fail Back on topic: I would see if any work has been done to the EFI wiring harness. The 3fe trucks are notorious for having efi circuit problems--not a big deal, but it should be addressed.

Reading comprehension fail. The pictures clearly show dirt. Nice rig. I personally liked the bilsteins with the OME springs. The OME shocks are a little stiff but the bilsteins dampen just as well.

Dave, Have you done the temp guage mod too? After tweaking the factory guage, I didn't see the need to add an aftermarket unit.

I have a little over 7k on my aussie. It still gets bad mileage, but it is designed to be just as easy on the drivetrain as the factory spiders. I agree that prices should go down soon.

You can get more than 3k for the cruiser on trade AFTER you take off the bumpers and sliders. Selling it for 3k is giving away that stuff...

Maybe I just hate used car dealers, but I would trade that thing in. It would serve them right. You might be able to get a few bucks for that modded temp guage too. Just swap it out with a 95-97 80 with a stock guage....

I agree. I didn't know that carmax wouldn't take a vehicle that old, but my plan is still sound. Unload the aftermarket goodies and you can still trade it in at a used car dealer for 3500 off of their 5000 dollar 4runner. Add in 1500 of the 2k that you have from your stuff and you are ready...

I installed my aussie locker in less than two hours. It is ridiculously easy. There are a lot of unlocked 80s that have done the trails at Moab. It just takes a little more careful driving.
