    New Bronco

Sounds like a organization issue more than anything else. Easter jeep safari must be better managed. Push/shove/whatever but there is more to a vehicle event than the badge on the grille. Bronco organizers couldn't even show up to the meeting.

    New Bronco

I work at a cdjr dealer and bounce between moving customers wranglers around and driving my wife's bronco. I think the jeeps dash/cowl is higher but the Bronco had a much larger and flatter hood with more line of sight blocking details on the outer front corners. Offroad with the tank slit...

    Long Distance '85 Ranger Build

Didn't really do any off-roading, to the point I never even locked in a hub. Checked out some cool historical stuff and ran a bunch of forest service roads. Trip went great, truck didn't miss a beat.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Looks like Tremor is still 3.73, not seeing anything on the Raptor. But on one hand the Raptor is more of a higher speed thing which lower gearing may not be such a big deal. On the other hand the Bronco Raptor has 4.70 differential gears.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Surely that changed for Tremor/Raptor? Our Bronco has 4.46 with 32's from the factory...

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Who knows. One would think they would have the same transmission too. Regearing a Ranger with a factory locker isn't cheap, the factory ring gear is welded to the carrier to save weight and help mpg/nvh... so you gotta get a new carrier. Open diff is bolted on like normal.

The Toyota Land Cruiser Is Coming Back To America

27mph hwy is not implausible, our non hybrid Bronco flirts with 25 pretty regularly. But in retrospectit ours is not full time 4wd...

The Toyota Land Cruiser Is Coming Back To America

Yeah, there is a lot of Bronco inspiration in it. As a Bronco owner, I dont care. Competition is good for everybody. I like the looks of it.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

It varies so much depending on what you are doing. My wife has a 4dr black diamond and loves it. It does run out of room fast without a support vehicle. We have a kid so the back seat has to stay up. And said kid is small so up until recently we had the pack and play, diaper bag etc too. My...

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Ours was the bone stock "I am stuck at the end of our road again, you may need the tractor this time" flavor. So we got a Bronco and it has barely snowed since.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

My wife's old edge had a on demand AWD clutch thing. It had 270k on it when we sold it and we never touched anything with the AWD. It was used quite a bit. I would guess ut was dragged out of the snow more than most edges... Needed more ground clearance.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

The full time 4wd has a diff in the t case. Everything runs all the time. Some can lock that "center" diff, some can't. Our Bronco has automatic 4wd, the front axle is live all the time, the shifting happens in the tcase. Like you said, it's smooth and seamless. It also gets like 10-15 more...

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

This is only in "Rock crawl mode" If ours had a front locker it could be turned off in the mode. Rear is mandatory on in that setting. Older domestics and rovers had it too, full time 4wd is nasty for fuel economy though.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Makes it more like a manual. Lightens up the throttle and tightens the trans and steering. My main offroader is a manual and I felt more at home with it than without it. I wish the rear locker wasn't mandatory on though, you have to do the hokey pokey 4wd range shift to get into normal mode...

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Bash plate for the front was kinda neat. Not sure if the new ones still have it or how the package compares to a aftermarket options for that. It's been a couple years since I seriously considered a midsize anything. Rock Crawl mode is pretty legit in our Bronco though.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

I'd just do a normal XLT Ranger with a rear locker. I go back and forth if a FX4 would really even be worth it. Use the pile of money I didn't spend on a Tremor to get better/slightly bigger tires and a small tanker worth of fuel.

Maybe it's the excessive price tags

Classics do well for us, as pricy as they are they are a fair bit cheaper than a DT.

Why is Dodge more popular than Ford/GM? (Not a bash post)

I work small-town CDJR dealer. Gm told the local dealer they had to build a new building or else, dealer told gm to pound sand and dumped them. Just a used car/trailer dealer now. It is sad all the orphan GM's we get in and have to turn away. Sure we can put a trans in it but you gotta haul it...
