Could you pass on some info on the line loc thingy? The E-brake in my jeep is a death trap and this would be a good band-aid until I can gather the parts for a disc brake set up.

    Bolt-together fiberglass Jeep-tub trailer kit

Yeah, Sourcing the constant power would be a little difficult but not impossible. Maybe a battery powered LED is the short fix...*shrugs* I just think having light there is almost a must have. :)

I'd minimize the number/size of the vents as well. Jeeps are not really luxury cars that seal up so tight. I'd think that just a couple holes would suffice. And adding them to the bottom is a good idea. As long as the storage is big enough to hold spare fluids or whatnot there will always be the...

Thanks for the intel on the rear cover. Guess that will be on the "must do" list now. :) Glad to see that engine getting spruced up...I've found that the Purple Power stuff you can get at Walmart does a good job cleaning stuff. I spray it on and let it soak a bit and maybe scrub the hard headed...

    Ultimate crazy old jeep adventure.....

Not sure if it would fit but I'd do the Trans-Am trail in it. Supposedly only around 100 miles of paved road. Overall the important thing is just go SOMEWHERE in it! lol! Maybe keep a record of all the major trails its seen and survived.?. Following the Explorers route West could be neat. To bad...

I'd have to disagree with ya karma... I think leaving it open would allow you to clean it out easier and since the mud/gunk will find its way in ahyhoo...*shrugs* Guess its a 6 one way half dozen the other though? :)

Can't wait to see this go together. Glad the Heep was kind enough to wait until near the end to become Exxon Valdez. lol! Side question for you...I noticed that my NV4500 is leaking now (Crap!) and it appears to be coming from between the cast iron case and the aluminum tail section. Can I pull...

Hmm... how about a StoreGate180.?. Add the box portion to the outside and make the access from the inside. That way when it is dropped (open/CJ style) you can access the stuff without trouble. And when the gate is closed it doesn't take up precious interior room. :)

I honestly don't remember...its been a while since I've messed with it. If I guess I'd say a weld on collar.

Axles... IIRC, the Rodeo (and Honda Passport) used this Dana 44. Different years offer different stuff but they are usually easy to find in the junkyards pretty cheap. Look for one that has disc brakes as I think the early one's had only drums. Also, the later ones used a rear link set up I...

Yeah... while you could build the 20 to work ok...I would never trust it. Full float axles, Truss, disc brakes....etc...lots of money for a marginal axle. If your still in the concept stages maybe think waggy axles? Or a waggy front and an Isuzu Dana 44 rear.

    Grand Wagoneer??

back in a good day...lol Hmm... My last FSJ was an '83 Cherokee (last year of the two doors) and was 6cyl/t177/NP208. On a good day it may have gotten 18? And even after tinkering with a new carb and DUI dizzy it still wasn't very good. Maybe if I had swapped in a 4.0 it would have seen 20? But...

Envy... I only wish I had it that easy! Working at the auto craft shop on base here is akin to the stone ages. Most of the stuff is really old and beat up. The tranny jack here doesn't have any of the fixtures on it any more...just a flat plate you can adjust. And there was no just "slipping it...

Good luck with the NV install. I did mine last week and my back still hurts! lol! Now if I could just get the rest of my junk to fit together I'd be great! Can't wait to try the NV and all... :) Post pics when you do yours..I'd like to see how yours fit and what you do for a cross member.

    Grand Wagoneer??

All of it! lol. Waggys are not known to be fuel sippers...they were luxury vehicles remember. Plus as the emission standards got stricter the poor 360 got choked half to death. Took more effort (fuel) to get moving. Weak ignitions, small 2bbl carbs, HORRIBLE gears in the axles...all in a...

Lol! Just what I was thinking too! Like a movie prop jeep...Angry sea bass with freakin' lasers on their foreheads! Neat jeep though. Would look better tan or Gun metal gray IMHO.
