    8.25x16 Michelin XZL availability

I have a set of 6/ea 8.25 XZLs- 4 have <4k miles, and 2 are new (looked for 20 years before finding a decently priced set), on Wolfs. You likely will never use the spare, and the real specialty of these tires is their puncture resistance and longevity (when did you ever see a XZL with weather...

Need a 'little' Excursion help pls

Most any time Matt- what ever suits you. I ordered Toyo A/T-II's today, and then will go about deciding on rear sway bar. Also need to mount the front bumper and winch, then fine tune the rear end height wise- likely removing the factory blocks....

Need a 'little' Excursion help pls

Update: Almost went with caryt, as he seems to really know the best setup for the big EX, but ended up going BDS 4" kit with all upgrades available- new rear springs, dual Fox 2.0s in front, single 2.0 rear, dampener, etc. So far so good- cured most of the issues, but may still add the rear...

Thinking on 97-99 K2500 'Burban. Feedback?

Sorry for the slow reply- traveled all last week. I have had no bad experience with the GM alum heads, but I come from many years of Rovers (alum block as well) and am an engineer. All that said, alum and steel are dissimilar metals, and as such expand/contract at different ratios. So, for me...

Thinking on 97-99 K2500 'Burban. Feedback?

Look at '00 6.0's as that is the only year with cast iron heads, and you likely will never have an issue. X2 on the big Excursion. Just bought one, my second actually, and building it as we speak. Burbs are sweet, but the 6.8 X w/ SD running gear and straight axles- hard to beat as a platform...

Very well equipped '02 D-II Discovery

This truck was just traded in towards a Defender 110 wagon, and was doctor owned. Consequently, all maintenance is beyond factory recommended intervals and specification, including full synthetic fluids. The vehicle was his daily driver, and as such, had to be extremely reliable, which it is...
