When my mechanic spotted mine leaking he told me it would eventually need to be replaced, but it could wait. I think I waited a year. I needed new tires and didn't want the rack to screw them up.
I got it from here:

There are other colors available, but that one is priced much less. Here's a link. The oval one fits the slot.

I haven't been doing a whole lot lately. But, here's a few things I was messing around with lately.
I took out the dimmer knob completely and put another switch in there.
I thought I'd see how the gauge looked with the trim piece painted. I'm kind of liking it.
I've been messing with a...
Thanks. Insurance might cover the cost of replacement parts, but I put too much time and effort to start over if a few extra lights can help prevent it. The lights are also a great fail safe when towing my trailer as they sit high enough to remain visible.
The website below is great for dash cam info. Battery failure has been my biggest issue as they tend to fail and swell in the heat, but there's the "super capacitor" options for more $$.

Rustoleum high heat engine enamel or BBQ paint and a heat gun works wonders. Use the high heat primer for even better results. With the BBQ paint you can pretty much heat the metal up and just spray it and watch it dry instantly.
I'd say I like it better than the Bilsteins I used on my 02, but it has a fairly firm ride in the front. Most of the time I like it, but if I'm on a segmented highway it feels like I'm riding a waverunner. My rear lift still needs a little help, or my front just needs more weight. I use airbags...
I bolted down some aluminum angle along the front and back of my fridge. I then installed the ARB tie down kit to that. It's simple, clean and has held up great for years.
Not the best photo, but should give you an idea.
You could use a length of foam/rubber weatherstrip under the leading edge of it. I'm thinking the kind sold at the Home Depot. Also, maybe just try some wax or polish on the auto trim and cab.
The dash dimmer switch had a meltdown, so I removed it. All my exterior lights appear to be working again. I'm stuck without dash or hvac lights at the moment.
Well, I'm thinking at this point that my instrument cluster may have shorted out. I haven't located anything wrong elsewhere. I've...
I haven't figured what the problem is/was yet, but I started by disconnecting the headlight harness on the passenger fender between the air box and firewall. It has a locking tab that pushes the connector out. I figured I could narrow it down a lot by removing that whole section from the...
I don't like any new odors in my truck that I didn't put there.. I'll be poking around with my multi-meter once I build up my caffeine intake a bit more.
I got me a gremlin.. So I was trying out those Sylvania Zevo LED bulbs for my turn signals. I just plugged one in to test it out. Well, I thought I could smell that frightening ozone smell when I switched on the parking lights.. Yeah, that bulb came right on out. I couldn't find anything out of...
I gave up on mounting those amber lights in the bumper. I have them up for sale here if anyone is interested. Also, I upgraded my rear light and the previous one is available as well.
The new one has the high/low mode which is pretty handy.
I had been trying to sell these brackets for...
I like the Rigid stuff as much as the next guy, but I'm just throwing this out here.

Here's the Rigid parts coming in for assembly from "Kawah Plastic And Metal" in Shenzhen, China...
