    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I Went out for a little wandering on Monday afternoon. The roads west were pretty empty, but I was passing a lot of eastbound traffic sitting at a standstill. I need to remember to take that hitch step off before hitting the trails. I wasn't going anywhere crazy, just out wandering along...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Nothing much new happening on my Tundra front. I think the past year or two I just haven't been feeling so great and my projects have been getting smaller and less ambitious. I still barely covered 5k miles since April of 2016. I decided to get my oil changed yesterday. I'm using full synthetic...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

I might have to look into CVJ. They are local too. My boots have been leaking for a bit and I've been thinking about a rebuild/reboot.

Adventure Tool Company's (ATC) 4wd Provan Tiger adventures

I started off with the self fill and added the gauge control later. I found myself adjusting them more often and then picked up a trailer which made it more convenient. I need some better springs, so I probably also run them a bit high (30-50lbs). It seems like they fluctuate 5-10lbs with the...

Adventure Tool Company's (ATC) 4wd Provan Tiger adventures

I love the Airlift kit in my Tundra. Make sure you cut those lines straight and clean otherwise you might have slow leaks or worse. Did you get the one with the dash control?

    Jeep J20 advice

Yeah. I'd buy it. But, tread carefully and have a plan as these little gems can easily spiral into money pits. It sounds like a 74 or earlier I think. Expect some wiring bugs to work out. Give that a good look over. Check around the windshield for rot. Typical floorboard issues. Sent from my...

    Spray on bed liner

There was Rhino liner in my old Tundra when I bought it and I can't say I cared for it. Compared to Line-X, it looked dull, felt smooth, softer and overly thick.

    WTS: Dome/Scene lights (Denver)

Some extra lighting that I won't be using. Unused, just tested. Hella Marine Red/White EuroLED Touch Lamp (959-950-111) http://www.hellamarine.com/en/products/interior-exterior-lamps/euroled-130/red-white-euroled-touch-lamps.html Really a nice light. I was doing a retrofit of the dome light...

    Lhanson 1st Gen Tundra Build

I don't think CBI ever officially released those. I purchased a set from Rago Fabrication. I like them, though they required a bit more trimming of the cowl as they were causing my hood to sit higher initially.

Official Test Results: Five Ways to Heat a Tent

I tried building a version of one from a Zodi shower at one point. It's still sitting on the shelf, but it did seem to work. To solve the battery issue, I was considering a selenoid valve on the propane tank tied to the duct fan. This was a test of the heat exchanger. I put steel duct flanges...

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

I can't recall if that's the same issue I had in the past. I was chasing driveline issues with my 02 for a while and eventually it was Slee Offroad that recommended having the driveshaft rebalanced. Just something else to consider if you've looked at everything else.

The War Wagon: A 2005 Toyota Tundra AC's transformation to Overlanding Rig

I did eventually get tired of some of that wiring myself. I soldered one piece of solid copper wire across all the ground leads (note: It's risky, I ruined a couple rockers getting the heat right). I also epoxied a 2" flat section of aluminum angle between the rocker panel and what's left of the...

The War Wagon: A 2005 Toyota Tundra AC's transformation to Overlanding Rig

I just angled mine and eventually smoothed it out and filled it with some plastic filler and then painted it over with bedliner spray, then paint to match.
