Camper shell with swing open doors: Opinions

If it's like mine, you can remove the locking rods with an allen wrench if needed. Just keep the proper size duct taped to the door or wall somewhere and you're covered in a pinch.

Camper shell with swing open doors: Opinions

One thought I've had for a while is the recessed T-handle. If you close it from inside and for whatever reason, that t-handle were to be folded in you would not be able to open it from inside. I've been wanting to swap it out for a different type of handle/lock mechanism, but haven't really...

Camper shell with swing open doors: Opinions

Here's mine. I lost count of how many holes I've cut into it now.

Wow... That's really impressive looking. They need more of this in that alu-cab thread.

    Truck canopy

I wonder if a good two part epoxy would be adequate. Maybe fill it from the back with some 3M 5200. That crack doesn’t appear too bad, but I suppose any flexing of the area might be an issue. I think rivets might create more problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Adventure Tool Company's (ATC) 4wd Provan Tiger adventures

Awesome. I'm mostly using them for sockets, but I might add some other odd 'n ends. I'd be down for a custom order of several small ones and a longer one for the opposite side.

Adventure Tool Company's (ATC) 4wd Provan Tiger adventures

The shop roll with the orange interior is really cool. I like to keep small parts in the three pockets on the left side of mine. I have an unfortunate habit of dumping the contents of all three when fishing through one. It might not be practical, but I was looking at those mesh inserts on...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Skid Row is having a year end 20% off w/free shipping sale. A skid plate hasn't been high on the list, but I'm struggling to resist the gravity well that pulls me toward buying things I suddenly want. Yeah, screw it... I gave in an ordered a front skid plate. It's going to be an expensive year...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

I love the design. It looks rugged and durable. I also can really appreciate ditching the tailgate. No mention of actual weight though. That would be an important figure.

    Tablet mounts

I purchased two apps recently for around $10 to compare the full features, both are designed to work offline. Sygic and CopilotGPS. I'm still trying to decide which I like best. I do like that Sygic allows downloading individually states while Copilot only has regions so it takes considerably...

    Tablet mounts

I didn’t realize that was a mini, but that same brand has a “social” model for the minis. There’s some holders for $20 for various vehicles. I actually purchased one for a Malibu, removed the custom dash mount and bolted it directly to my center console. Then I realized my iPad didn’t have...

    Tablet mounts

I've seen some killer deals on tablet mounts lately. Some are around $20. Is that a Dakota? http://a.co/d/irAaPDh

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

It's good to be back in Colorado again. Those northeastern skies can be tiresome. A few thoughts on the ride home. I hadn't packed the heater this time around, so it was a bit chilly sleeping in the back. My ATC wool blanket is still the preferred choice. I sandwiched a $20 12v electric...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Anyone looking for mapping apps, there’s been some good deals right now. I’ve been trying out a number of them, but specifically “Sygic” and “Copilot” as offline GPS options on an iPad mini. Both just had the premium options for about $12 so I grabbed them as I still can’t quite decide. I’m...

06 Tundra: Proceed with build or move on?

This.. Just went in for an oil change in NH. Wandering around I saw a large pile of brand new and old rusted frames behind the shop. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Might have to try this. Even with lots of driving, that Optima is now losing most of the charge overnight. When you say very slow charge, any idea what kind of amps we’re talking? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
