Yeah the roof rack and lights are a factor at lower gas mileage but I'll never give those up cause I love them so!
I'll have more pics as soon as I get the trailer back and were going camping again July 4th weekend so I'll get much more!
Yeah no problem at all!
For #1 I'll have to wait til I get my trailer back to measure all that for you.
#2. Sorry to say, I did get them from sierra 4x4. I went to the shop to get them and I wish I could recommend them but after months of waiting on him to get me the correct hardware I...
Thanks so much mark!
I'm happy with how the tank mounts came out too. Its a simple design but very effective. The rubber quick fist grab on extremely tight and they didn't move one bit for the 650 plus mile road trip. I'm thinking of maybe making a few more to sell if anyone is interested...
Thanks! Mixed bag indeed!
We usually go to pismo every September but we came down this month for my cousins HS grad party so we camped on the beach joined by my parents and their new to them 28ft trailer. On Friday all day it was high winds and sandstorms and the proved problematic for my...
Had a great several days in pismo and on Sunday we packed up and headed up highway 1 to morro bay stayed a night then headed up highway 1 all the way home
Stopped at nepenthe in big sir for a cocktail
Then stopped at the river inn at big sur for some apps
Roadside vista...
Made it to the beach late last night and setup quickly and sleep like a baby for the first night in our RTT
The trailer towed great all the way down to pismo and tracked perfectly. Surprisingly I had excellent gas mileage all the way down at 15.1 miles per gallon which would be good without...
Here is another angle of the bracket. I made it last night its for my 11lb tanks. The 5lbs just seemed so small and the 11lb looks perfect on the side of the trailer. I will show the finished picture tonight after I install the quick fists and make the second mount. I will also have a tab to...
Just about finished up with the trailer and took out tonight for a test drive on the freeway and side streets. We are leaving for pismo beach on Thursday so I really can't wait to use it
Hooked up and ready
I welded Two d rings on the forward facing part of the bumper cross member...
Thanks! I found exactly the ones I needed for a upgrade from.McMaster Carr. I went with 225lbs each that should hold the weight nicely especially when I add the solar panels
Thank you. Even though the trailer is "finished" and ready for testing. Once I go on my trip and bring it back to get...
What did you end up doing for your gas shocks? I had 150lbs ones that came with my lid but with the lid and the RTT now its not enough force to lift the lid. So I'm thinking of getting 200lbs ones or maybe 225
