Been busy with a few other things lately but I had some time today to finally do the hinges. I cut off a few 3"x1" pieces of 3/8" stock to do a spacer under the hinges so they line up and open properly. Worked as planned and the lid opens and closes smoothly. Tomorrow I hope to have some time...

I'm having a problem with the hinges I have they just won't work because the lid is slightly larger than the top lid of the tub so if I center it the hinges will have to be offset. I'm wondering if what you have will work. How wide are they and how tall are they? Where did you buy them from?
