That is part of the reason I bought the BMS Steering clevis, no need to extend anything, just run Heims. Sean

I am playing with the camber curve on mine and from the picture it looks like you have a decent amount of positive camber at droop. Currently the arm lengths I am looking at give a really gentile curve with not much positive camber at all. Thanks, Sean

Can you measure the camber at droop? Thanks, Sean

2006 DC Tundra. DD meets ongoing tinkering.

Use either the Demon metal blades, the milwaukee torch blades, or the lenox blades, go slow with light pressure and lots of lube to cut the parts. Sean

I like my g57s but you have nearly no up travel, its all droop. They are good Springs but the position of the mounts and shackles just dont really let you have all that much up travel. That being said, they are bolt on and ride great with good shocks for what they are. I paid 450 used for mine...

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

I am mounting my bags just inboard of the leaf springs for that reason and using daystar cups. I am doing it because I want to run hydro bumps in the stock location as well. I think that in your case though with the shocks mounted in the stock location that the bags wouldnt fit. Sean

Leibbrand's 06 DC Limited Tundra Build

Since the shocks are in the same spot on the axle you get the same amount of articulation as any other setup. I will try to get some pictures later, I currently have a bunch of crap in the bed right now. Measured at the leaf springs I have 14" of travel on my g57s. The g57s are SOA. The...

You are going to love the rear setup, I have a cantilever rear with g57s and its pure bliss. With an extra 2-4 inches of travel it will only be better if the shocks are valved like they are supposed to. Sean

Which LT kit did you end up choosing? I think I missed it earlier, for some reason I want to say SOLO but I am not sure. Deaver C27s, add a slip yoke to the Drive shaft for the SUA. Thanks, Sean

Regarding the spindle gusset discussion. That picture is exactly what happened to me. I make a point to tell people to weld in the uniball adapters and run spindle gussets. The camburg adapters are one piece and include the spacers for the bottom of the uniball so they arent as nice to weld but...

    seanpistol's 01 Tundra

Thats the gist of it. Pardon the bird poo welds. Cycles 14" metal to metal on the shock. The travel is progressive to 1:1 as it approaches bump and the shock to cantilever angle is 90 degrees at bump. The bags arent in yet but will live there and I have 2 2.5 inch diameter air bumps that will...

    seanpistol's 01 Tundra

Even if you DIY it like I did its not cheap if you do it right. I am running delirin pivot bushings, heim joint ends on the connecting rods, about 8 feet of DOM tubing, weld washers, and the plate steel for the cantilever arms. I have probably 600 in it now not counting the scrap plate I used...

Spindle gusset install on 1st gen Tundra advice?

Logically if you weld the slug into the spindle the next weakest spot is the toothpick part of the spindle. I know on my new spindles id rather spend the $40 on the gusset rather than a tow, a fender, and a replacement spindle. Sean
