    Great Divide 25th anniversary

Just saw this announcement about Land Rover celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Great Divide Expedition. http://www.interactivelandrover.com/lr/DisplayRelease.php?itemID=748 Thought it was a great tribute to the original event and the brand's history by recreating it with 2014 Range...

    Family exped truck

Having a Range Rover Classic myself I can attest that the biggest single item you would want is more space. The truck is simply not that large, especially once you get more than two people and gear into it. Fortunately a roof rack with a few good water tight containers solves much of this...

New Discovery Concept looks like a Ford Explorer, can be driven via remote control

jaw drops, blank stare and not in amazement. Very disappointed if this is accurate, at least for a first glance. Already thought the Ford Explorer was an ugly vehicle way to sterile and institutional looking, and this appears to be a carbon copy.

Series 109 Birthday present now Autumnal Equinox present

Was familiar with that truck from previous years and knowing the past owner. It is unique and should be pretty well put together besides the items to be expected on a series. Fun to have a 109 for a daily driver that can keep up with traffic on the interstate.

    Craig's 1989 RRC

Still impressed every time I read about what you have been doing and feel a bit guilty about the state of my 91 Hunter. She is in pretty good condition but compared to where your's is at, well...

    Choosing my first overland vehicle

Echo LR Max. I have a 91 Range Rover and a Jetta for a daily. I don't worry about gas mileage as much seeing the truck is only for trips. If you are driving a mini I bet the average fuel consumption with two vehicles would still be lower than going to a single truck for you primary vehicle...

    1991 Range Rover Hunter Value?

As a Hunter owner I have to say, it makes a great wheeling truck with the lack of the addittional optional accessories and a being a little more rare is fun too, Something like 700 were produced. My understanding is the front end with lack of ABS, the CVs etc are the same as the Defender and as...

The future of overlanding? Land Rover Hybrid on the Silkroad - 16`000km trip

For the time being I will stick with my original Land Rover Hybrid, V8 with a winch! But the idea is very intriguing, if it doesn't compromise functionality in the field.

What should I do, I have a 1963 land rover 88 which is in rough shape

Having just purchased at 64 109 that sat in a field for 20 years slowly sinking further into the mud rotting away the frame and any other steel on the vehicle, the thought of returning a rover to the road once again overcomes all other hesitations. Like it was said earlier, emotional vs...

    LR4 Winch

Once you use synthetic you'll never go back. So much lighter, so much easier to work with and so much safer! Well worth the money in my mind. Just be sure to change up your fairlead if you switch from steel so you don't get burrs. Don't have much experience with the LR4s but I have a warn...

    Cheap Fridge <$400 shipped

Just got back from 5 days in the wilds of Ontario. Covered well over 200 miles of rough, washed out and generally harsh roads often at bone shaking speeds. Fridge never missed a beat. Once I got a quality ground it hummed away even with the original power cord plugged into my new outlet...

    Cheap Fridge <$400 shipped

Yep, can confirm that the handles really aren't load bearing. Went to tie mine down and even after modest tension the handle popped off. Looks like the swivel pin only goes in a short distance causing it to pop out after the handle bends. Love the fridge otherwise.

    Cheap Fridge <$400 shipped

What is everyone doing to secure the units in their vehicles? I just recently picked one up and anxious to use it. Are the handles on the side of the firdge strong enouch to act as an anchor point?
