    The world's first...

I am still looking for a 12V coffee grinder! There are NONE. I would think that, if you can start a diesel with 12V, you could easily grind coffee beans...

I like my Engel 45. And I was impressed with the HD National Luna model that Paul showed me at OEXPO last month. Not cheap, but quality never is. M

Avoiding Bisphenol A leach in oboard water tanks?

I am concerned with any plastic used in potable water tanks. There is an approved type of PVC, but I prefer welded white poly such as the material used in many RV tanks.

    New to me F350

Thanks, Jack. I have seen the foam sleeve/cut-out mod and thought I would go that way if the Ford AIS was still too restrictive. Electronic accelerator pedal... hummm never thought about that. M.

    New to me F350

Just for grins -- I just bought an 2001 F350 Super Duty Lariat crew cab, 4X4 short bed with 7.3L turbodiesel and automatic transmission - shift on the fly 4WD. 65,000 miles on the clock. Very clean, never towed anything large -- no brake controller, no fifth wheel hitch. Planning on some...

    Coleman stainless cooler

I bought one when they were first re-introduced - perhaps siz or seven years ago. It has held up well - much better than plastic coolers - and is still inservice. A bit dented and banged up, but holds ice pretty well.

RTT ladder attached to an 80 series ARB bull bar ?

I think that most folding fabric RTTs have a telescoping ladder. I question the idea of mounting the tent so that you need to climb over the front bumper to get into it, though. The reason? Harder to get the tent open and harder to stow, plus most tents have additional canvas to create a...

    1977 FJ40 California SMOG

The 2F engine from a 60 would be the easiest way to go. I doubt that California will have a problem - same maker, same class of vehicle, and newer than stock. Will probably perform better, too. I don't yhink you'll have much trouble locating the engine, just be sure the smog pump works - that is...

    Incredible Looking Chairs at Expo

Well Scott, I expect that it is little different than me hunting birds with a $20,000 shotgun. Sometimes you just have to have it. BTW, it's Lewis Drake - he is a gun dealer in high end firearms, but sells other gear as well. Mike S

    Dual Optima Batteries

I have switched to Deka AGMs. Better battery and about $50 less. The older Optimas were good, but I had a couple fail, and made the change to Deka at the recommendation of my Optima distributor.

Blue Sea Fuse Block and Circuit Breaker

Since the fuses protect the individual circuits, you need to use only one circuit breaker - close to the battery. If both fuse panels share the same line from the battery. If the rating of all the protected circuits is above the CB rating, get a CB with more capacity.

    Incredible Looking Chairs at Expo

The chairs are offered by Lewis Drake. Price is just shy of $500 a copy. Hardly a practical camping chair. Mike S
