Well, it is sad to see your trip report come to an end....or at the least a temporary end. This has truely been one of the best trip reports I have ever read. On top of that I had a chance to meet you two! You two make me want to sell everything I own except one truck and just hit the road...

The Cruiser is looking killer but also a bit top heavy, narrow and tall. I would look at widening it a bit with some different wheels.

If you add or modify the ones on it or it lacks some and you put your own on it....buff them up way over the stock configuration. The stock tow points are weak big time. If need be I can take pictures of mine showing why I think it is weak along with pictures of what is strong and will take abuse.

Ih8mud is your best bet....if you have not done it put a for trade ad on there. Also list your truck for sale on a bunch of forums, cash may come before a trade. As I said on your iH8mud post, I think your truck is only worth about $5-6k so keep that in mind when looking to sell or trade. Sure...

600lbs with no gear....so with gear 1,000lbsish. You better reinforce the frame behind the wheel wells. Wouldn't hurt to also buff up the rear cross member that the spare tire moutns to, the unboltable one. Don't buy AirLift air bags, they suck hard. Go with Firestone, 10x better.

I am agreeing with Haven's original post. There is definately to big and to small. Sure you can do it in a 2500lbs SWB super small vehicle but will it be fun, maybe, maybe not. And sure you can do it in a 60,000lbs million dollar truck. Will you be living like a king out there? Without a doubt...

You know what would be sweet in this truck.... PTO driven hydraulics. Use a factory Nissan PTO box to a high flow, high pressure PTO pump. Use that to run winch and things like your chain saw. Could also be used to run a hydraulic jack and a variety of other tools. ;) I have always wanted to...

Most things have already been said about the motor.... I think it is a great engine of choice though if; you use it for mostly off-roading, you use it as an around town DD, you don't mind doing 65mph on the HWY and taking longer to get somewhere, you don't tow, you don't mind slowing down on...

When you do put it back together, put anti-sieze on everything that is not greasable.

Do you have to have something that is bolt in place? Why not simply get a fabrication shop to make you one that suits your needs and your truck?
