Sent my bumpers off to NW Powder coating inc. and I gotta say they did a great job with exceptional attention to detail. Especially with covering all the threaded parts and removing any plastic parts that would’ve melted in the oven
When I dropped them off
When I picked them up
A custom bracket mount for what I believe is the most accessible/ergonomical area to put the switch panel. Right behind the 4wd shifter and in front of the cup holders. Doesn’t get in the way of anything. If anyone is interested I might started producing these for resale. Only minor plastic...
Decided to box and weld on my lotus lower link skid. I understand their design but also understand that upon sharp or hard impact, the lower links can still crumple up and get damaged. Eimkeith makes a great weld on one but I preferred to box the entire link so if there is ever impact load, the...
In my opinion, etched metal produces some of the most beautiful natural colors
Coating all my skids with por15. Really excited to test the durability of this stuff.
Drove up to Canada to pickup the skid kit that I ordered
Front diff/transfer case/gas tank skid kit
Had the ability to use my shops lift to make this a little bit less of a PITA
Lined up! Most of my skids setup
Marlin crawler rear diff armor (1/4” thicc)
Had to drill out and remove all the mounting brackets/hardware to fit the cover on
Hardware brackets reinstalled
Metal prepped/etched (zombie lookin)
Por15’d the whole section then finished off with silver for the armor plate and rubberized...
Rock slider install continued

Had some custom rock sliders built (xo-fab) to length since there was nothing on the market that I believed suited my wants/needs
Had some custom “pine tree” gussets made just for some personal customization and added strength
4 point strength test lifting up vehicle
Really didn’t like the color/stain/pattern of the plywood so I did some research and decided to go with pine and a different color stain. Also applied a little heat to give it a somewhat rustic look

Starting work on front ‘removable’ half
Then I designed a swivel-a-way system to utilize all the little space we have in our 3rd gens. The seat backs (when locked up in seating position) lock at an angle. If I were to build stationary stands to hold the front half, I would lose...
Then started on my rear storage/sleeping platform. Similar design to another 3rd gen I’ve seen in the past, only I made adjustments to mine.
