Why do the other passengers have to sit in the cab? I know it's most common... but why? Often these days the Expedition camper box is made stronger than the cab. With proper seating they may well be safer in the box. Another advantage is if they sit in the box you do not have to sacrifice...
IMHO one of the advantages of Ambo boxes is they already have interior cabinets etc. You only got to modify them with sink etc. Great for those thinking economically in amount of work and extra cost. Nothing wrong with taking out interior and putting your own version inside. It's just more...
Consider getting second opinions on that. Many of folk have bobbed chassis of trucks. Granted it would take some quality fabrication for both bobbing and body changes buttt... bet it could be done and be well worth the money unless your staying on flat roads which makes this more of a heavy...
Verticle wind turbines put out less energy. So for the expense, noise etc. its not worth it. But that is not true for all wind turbines. The other threads linked above are full of good info to start with.
So how many holes have you dug in your life? apparently not many in land where tree's have roots, rocks, and then there is in the mountains where there is nothing but solid rock that would need stick of dynamite to make a whole. When lived in TX; after my bud Jake passed (yellow lab) took me 3.5...
Definitely cut a nice wedge out of the body from back wheels to back edge around window height. Massivly improves your departure angle. As typical for most Expo rigs, just above this wedge ends up good spot to put permanent bed.
Off topic FYI... Number one thing to do on a Pinz is a Roll Cage. They squash notoriously easy from what I heard from another active Penz owner that I have engineering and offroading respect for. He's got a few Unimog or two as well.
It's the holidays...... starting around Turkey Day and increasingly worse till around the 9th of Jan. Snail mail is ridiculously slow. I'd not give up on the buyer if they claim it was mailed in that time range; esp. if it was sent around 24th till. But that is just me.
PS- they have this as...
Great setup. For those not near OR to pick it up.... as in opposit side of the US (or near abouts) can you please take detailed pictures and measurments so we can copy the idea. Those near you would find it much cheaper to just buy yours than to build themselves from any pics. you...
hmmm. two or three pair of these on a single pole running down back of rig .. each foot peg folds away.. might need only 4 pegs staggerd up two sides opposit of each other (about 30$ pair) or non folding axle ones at about 6$ per pair hmmm
this should launch you up on top easily. :coffeedrink:
First pass - Rudi in Back out (2 1/2 twisting double front) to Miller (triple twist double backward flip)
if it is only temporary and your looking to balance cost... a second battery will hugely eat into that and still need a way to charge it which will cost you just as much.
IMHO I'd go with a 110$ Harbor Freight Generator or better yet hunt Craigslist for a used one...
hmm.. 3000 lb winch... a heavy duty trailer stand with a reworked wheel(s).. maybe a spare tire donut as tire(s)? BUT.... instead put a pully on tire and make a belt for it from pulley to winch spool..... add a long lever to steer by... and whala..... you got a drivable trailer when needed...
