Wheels and deals... The wheels and tires are customer's choice, IIRC, and are not included in the price quoted. The tubs are full water tight welded, with a bottom skirt piece that fits perfectly over the square tubing frame and secured with stainless bolts and nuts. Wayne does not tell you...

    RTT's and Rain

Pasquale -- Of course I have winter hoods available for the Columbus. Call me, and I will get one to you. The Columbus is an excellent tent, and uses the Airtex fabric - which is similar in design to Gore-Tex. It is primarily for camping in more moderate climates, and is vented to allow air...

    Simple battery protector?

Thanks, Jim. Always good to save some money. I think I'll do the remote control model. Will using this device result in ECU reset when it isolates the battery? I expect so. Likewise with the remote control feature. Hmmmm. M

    Another Roof Top Tent Question

Quite possible.. A Quad cab Tacoma can carry 165 lbs. when running. A roof tent - a small one would be best - can be mounted to a pair of Yakima or Thule load bars. I would avoid the towers that sit on the roof and clamp to the door frames. This mounting scheme will be less fuel efficient...

How do you cook in camp?

I like to eat well. I like to feed others well. I do option three - a good workspace and stove, proper ingredients, utensils and prep. If you use non-stick, and quality plastic plates and bowls, clean up with a little Dawn and HOT water is really pretty simple. Simple = sandwich and a beer. OK...

    Storing and Overland tent...

Storage JS Many of our customers leave their tent on the vehicle year 'round. If you opt to remove it during the times of year that you are not using it you will save a little on fuel, and save UV exposure on the tent. Not a serious issue but one you could consider to protect your investment...

How big is to big for a tent

If it takes more people to set it up, tear it down - than can shelter in it, it's too big. I like a wall tent of about 10 X 12 or 14. If you need bigger, get two tents. My $.02 M

    trailer kitchen box

Quick and dirty kitchen box... I built this one weekend for the trailer. Works well and organizes all the stuff pretty well. The drawer section slides out, has room for utensils, small items, etc. Also holds a 10 lb propane bottle and has a try in the top for more small items.

Poly Trailer tank This is a sketch of the tank I had built for my trailer. It its between the Trailer frame rails rear of the axle, and is covered entirely by a 1/8" thick skid plate. 38 Gallons, Surflow on-demand pump like DD's, extra gravity feed at rear for dog water. I use bleach and water...
