Mark, it's looking great. I think maybe you are being too hard on yourself about the pine. From my chair it looks very nice. It will hold up well and can be easily repaired. Ward

Mark, CertainTeed has a line of PVC that is workable with woodworking tools. They make a trim that is embossed with a wood grain pattern or smooth. If I remember correctly they also have a range of trim that can "hide" edges and plug fastener holes. As well it can be painted if required. Ward
