Bought a 15 passenger van for my company that had over 150K on it. THe inside of the 351 looked incredible. We had the head removed at 215K for a head gasket and it looked like we had just assembled it. The heads had 0 build up and the cylinder walls and top of the piston had no buildup either...
Congrats on the new ride it will provide you with many years of service and adventure for sure!.
WWhen you add the bumper a "lift will need to happen up front. You have 2 ways to handle this. Upgrade the coil in your factory coilover system by getting a stiffer OME coil. This would have minimal...
THis is from my email to them yesterday
Brian,
the Nissan diff is a version of the Dana 44, though not the same as those used in domestic brand vehicles. Currently we do not have a diff for the rear of the truck, but it is high on the development list and should be available early next year...
I think you will need to have someing fabbed up. I would do something from square tube like a mini old school roll bar. Tall enough so that you can stand the motor up while the bottom skeg rests on a small block of wood. Then use the motor mounting clamps on the tube. I would put some small...
DO you not have a full size spare? You should be carring a spare that is matching size. Also what a plug or patch. Not a perfet solution but if you ran on it for 4 days something could have been done so stop the leak for sure!
So ARB says that they will have a rear locker out for the Fronty the forst quarter next year. THey have no interest in a front locker because the U.S. spec truck uses a weaker 180mm diff as opposed to the 200mm diff in the Austalia spec truck. I think it is interesting that Nissan is using 2...
Man those step by step pics of the front bumper build take me back tot eh 10 days I had in the shop fabbing my front bumper for the yota. Looks like great work. Did you tie in the corner of the bumper to the frame as well or is it just supported by the main mounts at the end of the chassis rails.
Mike I saw on the ttora forum that someone was using a diff breather balloon off of a Kawasaki side by side. I will try to dig up the link but I have to say that if I was doing breather work, that is the only way I would go. It requires running no lines. It is basically a balloon over the vent...
I have been in comms with oztent. I have 2 units on the way right now for us personally. They are in the process of selectiong a u.s. distributor to set up retailers. They are hungry for u.s. market expansion. THey were at the O.R. show in august shopping for distributors. I would say in 6...
For 145K a baja edition land cruiser should be running some ultra cool long travel front and rear IFS set up with a built and superchaged tundra engine for starters.
THose guys do nice resto work but come on an LS6?! I mean first of all use some real toyota power. Second 145K are they nuts? How the hell could you possibly run up a 145K bill on any cruiser? they must be operating on a keystone profit margin.
Good luck. David is somehow one of those guys that has buisness but doesn't answer the phone, doesn't return emails or anything. I tried for months to get a hold of him. There are even threads on ih8mud about him not returning calls or emails. His fans came online saying he was going through a...
The pc was taken off the Man a Fre main page. THey say it is "coming soon" That definetly looks like Kaymar work to me. SO I would say that it will "exist" soon. I will have mike look into it and confirm but I doubt Man A Fre would have it on the main page if it wasn't actually going to be sold.
