Yeah, shorter time frame then 12 years. Only interesting data would be from '94 through '99. 2000 and newer didn't get lockers in N.A. and '93 and older got the smaller diffs.
where are you thinking you would find a VIN list? I mean, I'm sure there is one somewhere within the government and Mitsubishi, but not sure how easy it would be to find the list out in the public - especially a nearly 30 year old list.
The data below is the total by year of new Gen 2 & Gen 3 Monteros sold in USA - I do not have data on the trim level splits. And I do not have good data between 1991 & 1994.

I also live in salt country, vehicles only reliable last 15 to 20 years here. My '05 is teetering on the edge and will be replaced within the next year I'm afraid.
A beautiful classic. Can get collector plates they are so old. Hard PASS for a reliable driver. Good luck getting parts quickly when you break down in the middle of ... (basically insert any city here)
