Might be a good start for a trailer. What do y'all think?

    Here's another.. $650 http://denver.craigslist.org/for/3891936509.html

    campsite pics..lets see um

Thanks. That's all I really have for pics at the moment. It's hard to get a good wide angle shot of the interior. There's the fan and a Goal Zero light run by either a portable battery jumper pack or a home made solar generator I put together. All the furniture is by Alps Mountaineering...

Might be a good start for a trailer. What do y'all think?

Tough to say.. Mine is fairly similar and I paid $650 for it. Can't see the dump bed being useful and the mesh sides would likely have to go.

    Trailscape's Trailer Build

Well, I've been on the road for two weeks now and covered 3k miles with the trailer. No issues thus far at all and it's been quite handy to have.

    REI new return policy

It's understandable I suppose, but I could only ever justify the substantial markup on items purchased there for that very reason. It was peace of mind on the rare occasion a tent pole might snap years later. I only returned one item after a year and that was a backpack that sat on the shelf...

The camp cot thread; what's good, what's bad ...

I like my Alps Mountaineering Titan XL cot... Wide enough that you don't have to worry about sleeping on the hard edges and combined with the Alps comfort series air pad it makes a pretty comfy bed.

It was a cold, breezy one.. Kelty Trailridge 4 and an improvised Noah tarp.. Passed that test rather well.

    Trailscape's Trailer Build

Thanks to all for the comments and suggestions. There's a ton of good ideas out there and I'm still trying to hammer out a solid plan. I think it might just have to happen as I go. First thing I did was enclose the sides as I really don't want all my gear falling out.. Here it is loaded up...

    Custom battery/inverter box

I put together a similar one myself, but I used a couple 35ah sealed batteries (UPG 12350). It's reasonably lightweight too.

    Trailscape's Trailer Build

Spring over will be a bit more challenging.. It's a 3500# axle but has a camber to it so flipping is out. The tires are actually 15". Gotta think this one over a bit as I'd also like to match the wheels to my tow vehicle. I was looking on metalsdepot.com for some diamond plate. Thinking of...

    Trailscape's Trailer Build

I guess it's time to update this thread. This has been kind of an ongoing project since purchase in 2013. The build itself never had a plan or goal in mind, but was to be more of a "learn as I go". I wasn't sure I actually wanted a trailer, so purchasing a more expensive and fancy overland style...

TundraBirds Go! Picture Thread for Tundras and T-100s

Hope this helps. I didn't document much in the process. The back is hinged to fold up for easy installation/removal. It bolts into the existing holes using longer bolts and fender washers. You could probably built it flush to the floor, but I wanted access to underneath it. I got everything...
