Looking good Aluminess does make "real" sliders for the power wagon's, I think they are a special order item, and quite nice. I wish I had a set for mine

You need to have at least 5 wraps on the drum, the crimped end is only there to hold the line in place when you do the initial cable instal. Many people just hold the cable there and put a wrap or 2 of electrical tame over it to start winding. The crimped end should never be taking a load of...

Not sure how much the rack can handle, not even sure what brand it is. The rack is pretty solid, I am more concerned with what the shell can hold. I mainly want it to have somewhere to mount an awning and the maxtrax. I did throw a load of fire wood up there for the desert rendezvous trip...
