Funny your thoughts are like mine.
I struggle with short bed vs long bed decision. Wife would only be happy with the GMC Denali interior. I wish Chevy had left its 1980s Pontiac interiors in storage for the Colorado. I like the looks of the Colorado better.
You mean a seeping fuel injector? LoL
Every old Diesel I had at some point had some black crusty sepage on an injector at some point. No big deal. The bigger issue is that these transitional diesels were old designs being pushed with newer fuel systems. Todays designs are far better and will...
Even the NA power is pretty flat till about 2800 in the earlier 2.5s. My last gen 2010 2.5 has a flatter power curve than the old 01 2.5. More grunt in the 2500 range. The 3200 range it pulls hard. The 5spd mt has never been as good as the auto with the torque converter.
410lbs is over twice the 200lb max tongue limit on the Subarus. I have a 2010 OB we tow a 1300lb packed, 900lb empty rig. 410lbs would put the rear suspension on the bump stops sitting in the driveway.
Swap a 5gal propane can up front and maybe your at 320 ish? Anyone know the max tongue rating...
Our two mt bikes on the lid knock us down from 21 with the trailer only to 18. I recall we did 23ish bikes only.
I think your right roof gear paired with small trailers, pretty sure the roof gear is the biggest hit to the mileage.
I just read last night that the GM 2.8L Diesel was in the little jeep sold for a yr or two in North America. Is that really true?
I was surprised to read that.
Ahhh sorry, mixed you up with the OP, my mistake.
Though Im curious if the various Subarus have similar mileage when doing the roof gear and small trailers.
Nice job on the car and trailer James. How was your mileage on the trip? Curious how the 2L compares to the 2.5 mileage wise while dragging a trailer and sporting roof gear. I have the 2.5 OB. I know power is what it is so not going down that discussion route. Just wondering if the mileage...
I thought something was different.
The price is probably just a part of the Brand cache more than anything.
Id rather have a Cricket for half the price and the Subaru would tow it.
Solar is super cheap, its worth it. But winter months you just move to a reduced consumption method or charge up via other methods.
To scale up my $180 set up for a fridge and camper would add about $350 for a bigger battery set up and a lager panel, the rest of it would be perfectly fine.
But...
The American tire / discount tire has been my go too for some time now. They pretty much beat Costco every time and crush costco on the quality of service. Havent done costco since going around and around with them over old out of round crap Michelins I had them put on my vw. 4 trips back 9...
My J80 on 285 Kos I ran about 45psi for smooth highway trips 36psi would develop a high speed sorta worble effect too soft for the higher speeds etc. 45 it ran great.
Around town 35-40mph speeds Id drop em to 37lbs for a softer ride. 60,000 miles tread was still pretty decent and wearing even...
4x6 5.5ft wide, 12ft tongue to tail lights. First 3yrs in my 2 car garage, with a Ford Fusion which is a big *** boat of a car.
Then we inherited a SLK350 with near zero miles on it. Now it sits behind the side yard fence. Fence is a crazy custom jobber prior owner was money...
I created a...
Winter months are tough add your farther north and its a bigger hit. My nor cal solar gen is about half output in Dec Feb than it is in end of June - mid August.
Nice job on the vid. Always amazes me most people only see the summer version of the central coast, winter version is by far much nicer. Greener, more wild and fewer people.
You would like the lost coast. We did 6 days up there end of june.
