suspension evolution...
FullTankHank,
I began my suspension journey by getting the Toytec Ultimate lift with a Deaver-add-a-leafs. This was roughly a 3/1 lift. I did add the diff drop on mine. After adding all of my ExPo stuff, I noticed that the factory leafs began to sag. I ended up...
Here is to practicality...
Great start! I have found that my options are limited in regards to where I take my Tundra. I know going through Medano pass last year, I took every bit of the width on the trail. Having said that, my 3/1 lift suits me just fine, I feel as though it gives me the...

Plano AW gun case is in...
All,

I have been quite busy in the off-season with various other projects, however, the modding bug is still present in my system...Recently, I cam across a great deal on an all-weather gun case at my local Wal-Mart. This is the bigger brother of the double...
Thanks! I'm running 17" TRD forged alloys that are powder coated black. The tire size is 295/70 R17...Hardly any wind noise off my snorkel. But then again, this is my 2nd vehicle with a snorkel. I'm probably used to it.
I went with a trailer with a RTT. Much more functional...I don't like...
depends...
I have a SnugTop SnugPro on my rig. This is a commercial version that has a reinforced roof. They state that the roof capacity of my top is 500 lbs. I'm not sure what your topper capacity is, I would call and get the specs directly from SnugTop.
Hope this helps.

Clay,
Fine job on the videos. I am enjoying them as they come out. I had a question about the durability of the vinyl wrapping. Mainly, did it survive the elements? Is this a one time application or can it be repaired in spots? I am interested in looking into this option as opposed to a...
Yep, great minds think alike...
Huge points with my wife as well. I put the PETT toilet in the 'courtyard'(Deluxe side panels) of our 'master suite' (Oztent RV-5). She grew tired of climbing down the RTT ladder in the middle of the night. So far, this has been a great solution. I use the...
There is something to be said about knowing the difference between 'perceived' need and 'actual' need...
Now build this thing from the ground up, start a build thread and then get it scratched and dirty...

Congratulations...
You are going to love the Tundra platform. Sounds like your current family needs are pretty similar to mine. My expectations have been far exceeded by my rig. I have meticulously built this from the base version that came from the factory, and I would do it again without...
I have had my Tundra for over 2 years now...It is the perfect platform for me and my family for now.
I did drive my rig through the Continental divide this past Summer. No doubt, I was the 'biggest girl at the prom'...However, the rig did perfect. My expectations were exceeded in every...
I like your style...
Romer,
I have had to do the same with my trailer set up. Currently, I have an Outlander Sherpa II with a Mombasa RTT. I found that my wife was not liking traversing down the RTT ladder for midnight potty runs...Thus, I went with an RV-5 (the Master suite) on the ground...
I'll wait and see what happens...
All of this discussion about a V8 diesel is interesting to say the least. Currently, I drive an 'expo'd' out 2011 Tundra. I took a recent trip out to NM and I averaged 14.6 mpgs heading out. Coming back, I towed an 5'x8' trailer (weighed 3750 lbs + cargo)...
