OK cover then...
THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION! Being that I'm going for a cover, any ExPo covers available? or do we have to cobble something via the custom route?
Regards,
BWJ
All,
I have recently completed a custom Expedition One rear bumper with a spare tire carrier. This project took over 8 months, but it was well worth the wait...
My question is this: How are you addressing the exposure of the spare to UV / sunlight?...Any issues with dry rot? if so, how long...

EXO bumper...
All,
Just got my rig back from Atomic Fabworks on Friday. I had the EXO bumper installed following completion of powder coating at RML powdercoating. During the trial period, my bumper rusted from the freak snow storm + KS salt. I had to hit it with naval jelly and WD-40...
be real careful...
Colton,
I bought a SnugTop SnugPro. It is a commercial grade fiberglass topper with a re-inforced roof. The weight capacity is rated for 500 lbs...I would crunch the numbers on your topper's capacity and go from there. I did have the Yakima tracks installed at the...
MPG numbers...
All,
I just returned from a trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico. I drove 1500+ miles, and the Tundra did GREAT. I was curious to see what my rig was going to do mpgwise with the rear bumper on + spare. *Caveat ~ I've got 33" with 3" of lift + shell + cabinets + ethanol blended...
Growing up, my father took us camping all the time. We hit all National parks out West several times before me moved East. We never had much money, so pop-ups and rvs were never an option. We used a Coleman canvas tent, coolers and white fuel stoves / lanterns. I have very fond memories of our...
Zidaro,
Thanks for the words. The tire carrier is easily removable. Just unscrew the lift cap and tease out the top bearing ring, and the whole thing will lift out.
I'm glad I got it. It has met and exceeded my expectations completely. I'll post up pics of the latching system after I get...
LED light bar...
I have found this light bar to meet my night time driving needs well. There is so much light available that the inefficiencies from the location really don't matter to me. I do see a shadow of my cab with just these lights on, however, the shadow is gone with the Dually D2s...
Wife just got me the ARB twin air compressor. Going to install OBA and put two 5 gallon aluminum tanks underneath...
THANKS FOR ALL THE COMPLEMENTS!

BWJ
Adam,
It was great to meet you this morning. I'm looking forward to your build. Safe travels to all of you. If you are ever in the Midwest, please let me know.

Custom sliders from Atomic Fabworks..
Falkon,
Here are some pics of my project that I had completed from Atomic Fabworks. They are excellent, and I would use them again with no hesitation...
These are bolt on, and they are plenty stout for what I will need them for...

I have had the Rigid Industries lights for awhile now. I am very pleased with their products. I agree with Lecoq about the warranty. Should I have any issues with these lights, Rigid will stand behind them. Efficient, bright and bomber ~ all in one package.

got a Shadyboy...
I've owned the Shadyboy awning for about a year now. My rig is a Tundra Crewmax with the 5.5' bed. I was limited in the amount of mounting 'real estate' available. Currently, I have a Snugtop topper with a custom Bajarack. I did not want the awning case pouring over the...
