Falken A/T3W vs BFG A/T KO2 for roughly the same price...thoughts and/or experience?

I had Falkens - earlier version of the WildPeak A/T - great tire but became loud after some wear on my monocoque chassis. I am on the second set of KO2s (lots of miles put on this rig) and wouldn't go back to Falkens. At the time Falkens were considerable less expensive IIRC $129 / tire vs...

    Some RTT Questions

What was the floor material of the Mombassa? The RTT that I had was aluminum skinned something on the floor. Kind of a dumb idea to sleep on a heat sink. Ours got wet between the foam and the floor from respiration (people breathing). And yeah the foam mattress that came with it suked, way...

Gen 3 ...anybody out there running 34” tires?

OME lift is 1.5". Best tire size even lifted is 265/75R16 or 17 on stock wheels. 285/75R16 (BFG KO2 32.8" x 11.2") on stock wheels and OME lift will rub slightly on full turn, and shred the front inner wheel wells (plastic) on deep dips even slowly when wheels are straight. This is what I...

    Scalable aux. electrical solar circuit

Probably won't get 11 hours of good sun in the winter when you will need the heater. Maybe 4 or 5 @ 50%. As an example, right now, 10am central and 43 degrees north latitude, clear day, I'm pulling a whopping 1.25 amps (about 21 watts) on a 50W Renogy panel that I'm doing some testing on...

    Solar generator

The generator is the solar panel, the battery is storage. Definitely need to plan for rain/snow/clouds as well as possible, including running the truck to recharge if needed.

    Solar generator

DIY, 4S40P 18650 pack (120 Ah about 1800 watt/h) and 100W solar panel. No AC inverter, I only use DC in my truck(s). Fridge (Edgstar FP430), interior led lights, phone & tablet charging. I can go a solid 2 days without any solar.

    2.5 Gen Radiator

LoL - that is going to be one heck of a lot of roof solar panels. Baseball stadium sized. When we first got our Outlander PHEV I thought about putting in solar panels to charge it. Battery capacity is 13,800 watt/hours. or roughly 8 x 300 watt panels - thinking 6 hours per day of great sun...

    2.5 Gen Radiator

Get it down to a 5 minute refueling (recharging) time, then I'd be interested. Otherwise - forget it. Until then it won't even be close to 80% capable. Capable to me means able to drive it conveniently where I need or want to go. Last weekend I drove 1600 miles round trip - there certainly...
