Correct. Between the two fuel tanks we will have 80 gallons or 280 litres of fuel.
The exterior of the camper will be painted Chrysler PS2 the same silver as the cab.
We considered a vehicle wrap but it is about $4000 so we have decided against it for now.

H4rdflip, i would love to take the credit for building it but all I can take credit for is the design portion. ITB truck bodies in Coaldale is building it to our plan. I had a look this morning and it is coming along great. I will have some pictures to add When I get to a computer.

The Suspension compressor I believe is a Viair and as of right now it does not have an extra air chuck for airing up the tires but that will be added as soon as I have the opportunity once it comes from ITB. I may even get ITB to add it.

The fuel fills and DEF fill installed. The compartment behind the fuel fills will be home to the shore hookups for power and water, etc. It will also have hose reels on the inside of the door that will hold water hoses and cable for tv. It will also be home to the exterior...
Here is a couple photos of our camper interior right after spray foaming. I am looking forward to a nice warm camper. Ours is aluminum inside and out so no rust worries. I know of at least one other camper that was spray foamed but it too is aluminum. I know that with SIP's a vapour barrier...
Java, sounds great.
S2DM, we ordered the truck with 4.44's and are told this should be perfect even with the 42's. We will have to see in real world driving though. These trucks are built to tow 30,000 lbs so the "little" camper on the back should ride along nicely.

Thanks S2DM!
No feedback on the tires yet. The camper should be done at ITB in a month then off to get the tires and wheels installed. After that we will do some testing as there will probably be snow on the ground. Our first road trip will likely be through the mountains from here to...
Some photo updates from last Friday.

I added this lower compartment when I realized there was a space for it. I think it will be home to a Partner Steel 2 burner stove on a slide and other cooking/camping gear.
Here are the DEF and Diesel fills relocated to one spot at the back of...
Agree totally on the cooktop. We are going with the induction cooktop but our propane stove will get way more use I think. This is actually the one item I have concerns about in our build so it will be good to get some real world feedback once you start using the Wallace cooktop.

Our thought as well McCaskey. Getting very excited to see it done.
We are going to do the pre-paint inspection next Friday so should have a lot more photos after that.

Guido, I think a lot could be done with a used moving van like a U-haul or even an refurbished ITB box. Unfortunately our timeline with this build was to get it done ASAP so we had to outsource the whole unit. I think if a guy had some time he could retrofit a cargo box to a pretty darn nice...
The underside is completely spray foamed from below then top coated with bed-liner I believe. Then from inside they use a composite board to line the floor under the lino.

Thought I would update this thread as it was getting buried pretty deep.
Here is an example of why we bought our Jeep Habitat. The large rigs couldn't get in to the area we were camping in. They weren't far away in this case but were crowded in like cord wood. If you are looking for a vehicle...
