Slow down, get the needed measurements, spend the time to get the correct cable, crimp lugs, install and never worry if the system will function as designed. Oh yeah then you get to set back and read posts about those that for whatever cut corners and suffered the consequences.
The cable and hammer crimper will "work" but far less than the proposed materials and methods. IMHO it would be like having a worn out spare tire, maybe it holds air but...
Due to my own stupidity I managed to puncture the copper condenser line and let gas escape. The puncture is easily accessible, any chance of getting it repaired and recharged? Not a clue where to start looking. Any ideas?
Disconnect the BS (capping the two wires) and see if the breaker trips. If it does the issue is in the front end of the system, if it doesn't the issue is from BS back. Further if it appears the issue is in front disconnect the out side at breaker and see if it trips it's self. Easy peazy
