Water proof back pack is in

Well today I got my new Paragon pack from NRS. I have been looking for awhile for a good set up but nothing really is out there. Then I was pointed in the direction of this pack frame designed to hold either a rool down dry bag or box like the Pelican or Storm cases. It has a composite...

Just before you come into denver there is a neat scenic over look and you can free ranging buffalo. Cool if you never seen bufflo before. If you happen to go to moab at night. There is acool place on the road into moab just before you cross the bridge over the colorado. It is caled canyon lands...

    Xtreme Racks

HMMM well first the tabs sticking up on top have to go. They will limit the racks usable width and get snagged in stuff. Second those 2 goofy side beams will realy limit side acces to the bed. Most of our trucks are tall enough that reaching over the bed can be an issue. Having to reach over the...

    Pelican Cases

I'd say it is worth a look for sure. Retail on the 1654 is $430.00 The only difference between the 1654 and the 1650 is tha the 1654 features an additional padded compartment devider. great for camera gear. I'm sure the guys at Pangea can get you a good deal give them a shout.

    Sold my truck!! Now what??

I say get a flat bed mog and build that. Big, cool, go anywhere, and relatively in expensive. Parts are available on every continent and you could take it to iceland for your trip. Or I would build a Junk yard dog. That would be fun. Scavenging Junkyards for decent parts and building a mut is...

    Drop in K&N

Well I have run the K&N filters for a long time. I have never really noticed any major performance or fuel mileage increase on any truck or car. I use it mainly for the convenience and long term saving on filters. I keep in my tool box a small can of electronics cleaner. This is incase the after...

Help me choose an off road and expedition vehicle

The xterra is so tall because of the stadium seating in the rear. Plus it's the high roof that allows you to place the bikes in the back with out messing with your bikes seat hieght. You will not be able to put bikes in the rear with people sitting in the back. They only fit the rear seat folded...

    2007 Jeep Wrangler REVEALED (pics)

looks like it is a targa top in the pics. Why the hell do the fender flares go forward of the grill, that looks gay to me. Out side of that it looks mostly the same except for all that additional plastic. I will never understand why jeep continues to put plastic on the exterior of those vehicles.

    Now THAT'S a spring compressor . . .

That is the best type of compressor to use. I have used the threaded rods several times and always felt nervous. Putting it in a vice helps. What spring set up did you go with.

    Getting started with camping

Help me choose an off road and expedition vehicle

I guess what I like about the plder Taco is the size. The double cab is plenty big for 4 adults. It's narrow width is easy to drive both around town and on the trails. The power and additional size of the '05 is handy if you pack alot of stuff but the added wieght means you'll have a harder...

    unimog in action

Those things are sick. I friend of mine has one. It is a little under powered for mud but that thing crawl like nothing else. He actually filped his this year. it was scary because it was a soft top and he had no rool bar. Fortunetly for them his wife jammed her finger real bad but that was the...

Help me choose an off road and expedition vehicle

Well we used to have an Xterra. I hated it. Heavy, uncomfortable seats, fuel mileage sucked, roof rack was to high, and it was underpowered and had a bad tendency to hydroplane. It was however reliable, it came with a first aid kit, and it looked cool. These are my impressions as a former owner...

    Grand Canyon Nat'l Park

I have been to both several times and love the north rim by far. There are alot less people on the north rim which is nice. The north rim is the only place in north america you can view a desert for an alpine forest which is cool. The best place to stay in is Jacob Lake. There is an inn which...
