kb7our, two more questions if I may.
1) On you mattress restraint system, do the rivets go right through the top and stick out on the finished side of the top or is the top two layers thick?
2) What are the wires in your back window in the photo of the third brake light? I was under the...
kb7uor, you refer to your Habitat as #12. Is there serial numbers or build plates on them? Ours is to be ready by the end of May and I am just wondering how they show what number it is. As well, please free to post photos any time you want to keep those of us waiting satiated. That goes for...
My wife and I make this all of the time now. Saw it on his TV show a couple months back and are somewhat addicted.
It is called Aloo Gobi (as in the roof racks)

While I have not made it while camping yet, it sounds like a great...
JFarris, that was my thought as well. We have purchased a Habitat for the Jeep so we need to find a simple way to haul kayaks. My thought was to mount a light rack on the passenger side bumpers and go up and cantilever over the roof. This one would simply hinge on the passenger side and...
I didn't mean to imply that the Nemesis skids weren't tough. Quite the contrary. I shouldn't have included that last sentence. I would delete it from my post but it brought out some good comments on Nemesis so I will leave it. I will be buying a set for my JKUR.

Check out Nemesis Industries. I believe they have one of the better full coverage skid plate systems. It is aluminum though so if you are doing heavy rock crawling, bashing, they may not be for you.

If you read close he said he read from the last page to the first. That would make it fully loaded to stripped back to a new Jeep. He read the thread in reverse order.....I believe is what he was getting at.

I ordered the Habitat just for the space and ease of entry / exit. With the J30 you have to climb up and be able to turn around in the tent and put the floor in before putting out the sleeping bag and climbing in to bed. With the Habitat you can leave the sleeping set up at the front of the...
Sorry, my Jeep is a 2007 Rubicon JKU. Since I originally asked I stretched the brake lines as much as I could handle without thinking they were going to crease. I took it for a test drive and the brake lines seem to be fine. Now I just want someone to tell me I did the right thing so I can...
Did anyone who installed their own lift have an issue with the front brake lines after install? I am ready to button everything up but the front brake brackets don't line up with the new bracket location. They line up great with the old location. Did miss something?

I am not sure if this is what anyone has said but if you extend one of the support legs higher than the other water will flow right off. You can direct the flow of water off the awning as well in this way.

Too funny! I was going to say exactly the same thing but I am fairly new here so let it alone.
At least you could let us know how it was on the drive home? Was it quiet? How was the fit and finish? Did you have to have a friend sit on it to close it?

I for one and am glad there is a J8 out there being tested. Then maybe there is at least a small chance they will end up for sale to the general public. Remember when the H1 was out, no one ever anticipated they would end up being sold to the general public. I have no problem living a few...
