My 2004 Grandby project/ travel thread

It's a 2004 for $7500. Maybe a little high but there isn't a huge pool of FWCs to choose from on the east coast.

My 2004 Grandby project/ travel thread

Thanks Mike! Thats kind of what I was thinking, aluminum skin over a thin frame of some sort and whatever was on the roof has compressed the aluminum and sort of "exposed" the frame's outline. I don't want another project so I may steer clear of this one. Is there any wood at all used in the...

My 2004 Grandby project/ travel thread

I found a Grandby in my area and I am thinking about picking it up but the roof looks funny to me almost like really heavy snow has smashed all the material in around where the "slats" are. I am new to truck campers and clueless about the construction of the grandby's roof. To me it looks really...

    Tramper 080S refurbish

Thanks for the info! I went back and saw you have dedicated batteries for the camper, makes more sense to just go that route now that I think about it. Jumping an IDI or like you said pop starting one is out of the question!

    Tramper 080S refurbish

On your Ford are you using the 7 pin truck wiring for your 12v+? I have a 92 F350 and would like to run the furnace/ lights this weekend but I just realized I have to have the ignition switched on if I want 12V+ juice from the truck to my 7 pin but my glow plug relay robs most of the power from...

Potential 4Runner Purchase - Need Guidance

best 4runner generation in my opinion with a fanatastic engine... is it a stick shift?

How do we feel about this one?

True, my 3.0 although slow on the highway by todays standards seems to have a little more trail grunt than its "holier than thou" 4cyl counterpart. I have had much more confidence in my 3.0 than my 22RE truck, its broken down far fewer times. That 4Runner is way overpriced though.

    Toyota V6 3rd with 4.88 Detroit True Trac $500 OBO, stock front 4.88 $150

I totally forgot to post the front!! Yes I will have an ADD front IFS diff with stock 4.88 gears. No locker/ LSD. I'd do $650 for the set picked up or get them shipped for about $725 total, would need to remove the ADD tube from the front thought to save on shipping costs.

    5X 33 10.50 15 BFG AT's on SR5 wheels about 60% tread remaining. New spare. $550 OBO

Title says it all, 5X 33 10.50 15 BFG AT's. No abnormal wear, been rotated properly. About 60% tread left. New spare, never seen pavement. The SR5 wheels aren't the prettiest things in the world cosmetically but they are light, strong and look cool on old Toyota trucks. $550 OBO. Will not...

OME 2nd Gen 4Runner shocks/ steering stabilizer, springs and torsion bars $500 OBO

Selling my OME "Expo approved" suspension setup. I have had high praise for this combo from day one. Rides well on road and feels great offroad, the front torsion bars make all the difference in the world. No need to run silly balljoint spacers. -4x OME Nitrochargers -OME Torsion bars (a must...

    90 4runner lift questions?

Skip the balljoint spacer and do the OME torsion bars. When you add the extra weight of the bullbar especially with a winch installed its just too much for the stock bars to handle. I installed the OME kit on my 90' with the torsion bars and love the ride. The 33's will clear no problem with SR5...

    Cruiser guy with Tacoma questions

I've had a 2wd 2RZ Taco and a 4WD 3RZ taco, both with manual transmissions. The 2wd was a basic single cab and had decent passing/ accel. power (its light duh). The 4wd was a dog and got even worse after the obligatory tire upgrade 265/75/16 AT's. If I were to get another Taco it would be a V6...
