I could do a CJ8 tub with the rear axle moved back but I think that will be a little long. With the non-tj dash and fold flat seat I think the LJ will be ok. I don't need to sleep in it every night, but having the ability to crash would be nice.

Sounds pretty good. Do you have any pictures you could post? a 74" long sleeping platform sounds pretty good to me in the stock LJ. I imagine without the passenger seat and stock dash in the way you could probably get at least 6" more? 30" wide with the drivers seat still in place sounds great...

yeah, those are neat, but EXPENSIVE! I looked at going that way when I did my Willys rebuild. I just ended up designing and building my own frame instead for about 1/5 the cost.

Just to throw something else out.. have you seen the Brute being built on a JKU frame? Maybe you could put your custom tub on a JKU frame? I don't really think the JK frame buys you that much really......you still have to spend money on it and you still probably have to mod if for the new body...
