Just to close the loop on the wheels. Here are the specs - TR built them for the G! HDP17-GW, 17x8.5 Trailready Heavy Duty Cast Aluminum Beadlocked Wheel. 5-130mm G-Wagon, Backspace 475" Tire size is 315/70R17.

I believe he is referring to maintenance based steering/axle items that are considered the weak link on these. Not the actual front end.
