Will be interested to see how you go with these, as I have only seen them mounted on a factory FG. Would love to have a shorter set of the 9000's for an FE work truck that rides like #@(@!

You into the sauce this morning, man? :D I hate electrical troubleshooting just as much as the next guy, but I have found a helper (your lovely wife is a good candidate) and Chilton or Haynes manual will go a long way to solving your problems. If you can put your hands on a factory Service...

With all of the cool cars and trucks from which you have to choose, why are you driving a junky old Chevy pickup truck that keeps breaking down :D Beautiful views; how late into the year can you ski there?

Do you have a GoPro or similar? Find one to borrow if you don't and mount it on your axle (securely) and go hit some pot holes. That will tell you exactly what is hitting, when, how much the bump stops are compressing, etc..

One of the crappy things about cabover trucks is there is no "rocker" to put slider bars onto. On my 4Runner, I had sliders welded to the frame and could rest the weight of the truck on them to pivot around obstacles if required. I know this is not a rock crawler and Matt's won't be either (if...

Swedeski, The US has its share of strange liquor laws as well. I have been to a "dry county" where anyone could go to a golf course country club and pay $1 to be a "member" so they could purchase alcohol. I have seen places where you can only buy beer in a grocery, but not wine or vice versa, I...

So, set up a 501(c)3, a 508 or similar for the auction. Alternatively, one could establish an LLC ($100 - $200 usually) in a state where the not-for-profit rule does not apply, then collapse the entity after the raffle is complete, passing the proceeds through accordingly, to the LLC partners...

Indeed. Travelling at 50 - 60 MPH on state highways and back roads helps too. Do FG's not have locking front hubs and a gear driven transfer case like a 30 year old Toyota pickup :D

Great pics as usual; I know that takes quite a bit of time to edit them and build a good RR on a forum. Some of those trails appear to be really tight; do you think a full sized truck, i.e. FG Fuso, Dodge 1500, FSB, etc., would fit through if otherwise well equipped?

Those are ARB knock-offs and while the "real" ARB versions are also made in under the Communist flag, the quality is decent for being made from Chinesium. Certainly, mis-matched colours, casting marks or scratches and missing hardware should not be expected from the great ARB. If you have the...

If you are looking for a minimalist interior for a customer where budget is not a concern, find a cabinet maker who works in the Weaverville or Cashiers/Highlands area and a custom upholstery shop that does boat tops and interiors. If Lake Norman isn't too far away, there are re plenty of both...

Heck man, with that list completed, you would end up with a camper van and.... a camper :D x2 on the asphalt and stay away from Dynamat too; there are better and cheaper products on the market. Changing the resonant frequency of the body/van is your goal as you probably know. Covering your...

Pick up a quart of Howe's Diesel Treatment (or something similar from one of a dozen other companies) and run a few tanks of diesel through your truck. On the first tank, I saw an 8 MPG increase (16 to 24) and on the second tank, a 6 MPG increase to 22 MPG. The downside is that it will clean...

Chris, I am happy to delete this if you don't want it in here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kp-lq8Uw60Y I believe that additional mods have been made since this video was uploaded. Livernois also has several nice upgrade packages, if one were so inclined. I love the idea of it, but I...

40,000 BTU in a camper that size?? Seriously?? No wonder you are sweating... A well insulated box that size should only required 3-5k BTU unless you are camping in 20 or 30 below zero. 40K BTU will heat a 750 - 800 square foot home or apartment with ease.
