What was the reasoning behind choosing what seems to be a "chiller" for your air conditioning system, as opposed to a small AC or DC powered unit which does not require seawater (or in your case adding a radiator, tank and pump)? Weight? Cost? Efficiency? I have seen these on boats, but never...
Straight from the horse's mouth to your ears:
The frame material is a heat treated, carbon manganese, low alloy steel with good weldability. The frame has a 80/40 mm modular hole spacing standard.
Obviously, Isuzu wishes to err on the side of caution, i.e. warranty claims, idiots with...
First, don't buy anything that says Dynamat on it.
Now that is out of the way, you have a few options:
To properly dampen sound, requires a bit of engineering and a bit of planning. Covering the inside of your Jeep, van or Honda with MLV (Mass Laminated Vinyl) is not the answer to proper sound...
Ship to the states, have it converted by a reputable vendor, take your trip and ship it back to the UK.
It has to come here one way or another, but building it to your spec from a quarter of the way 'round the world may be a bit tough.
This may be a bit of a loaded question, but how do the large trucks like this do in REALLY technical terrain? I presume they are not very stable on side hills or off camber situations and I do realise they are not rock buggies. It seems to me that a cabover camper, as pictured above, would be...

More than a meter of articulation on an NPS? That is impressive.
It certainly would not hurt the OEM's one bit to put just a bit of effort into making these things ride more like an HD a pickup truck or van and less like an ox cart.
How much tuning did you do with the dampers, versus working...
Talked to them at SEMA a few years ago. Looked like top notch products and the guys in the booth were very knowledgable, answering quite a few questions.
I have no install experience, but I do like the concept of it and I don't understand why more upfitters, body builders and custom car/truck...
Looks like I am updating Matt's build thread more than he is :D
Sitting on factory Isuzu leaf springs in the front, Chevy Dana 60 (needs some work still) and 35" BFG's (325/65R18 I think)
Matt is working to locate a Dana 80 (35 spline) from a Dodge pickup, if anyone has one available. A 4.56...
Will be watching this.... Amazing they never finish the cool projects like the Crawler Hauler and the single seat rock buggy powered by a Honda four cylinder turned longitudinal. They have no qualms, however, about completing 145 Jeep projects every year, but I digress.
I heard years ago from...
SO glad to see that someone gets this. A truck frame is not supension. Neither are flat leaf springs with 2" of uptravel before you slam into your rubber bump stops.
What is the plan for the truck? Chase truck, race support, show truck, expo?
Looks good
Mark, I looked for a while through my suppliers line cards and could not find a match. I must imagine they would made for the application using a quarter turn handle, a recess and a second lock. There are probably thousands of companies that make latches, so we may never find it...
Is that not a hub-centric wheel? Many, if not most commercial trucks are, so once the centerbore of the wheel is on the hub, it cannot be off in any direction.
Maybe I am missing something.
Tires, Wheels and RPM:
The BFGoodrich 325/65R18 All-Terrain T/A KO has a diameter of 34.6" and a width of 13", it is mounted on a 18" wheel and turns 601 revolutions per mile. All-Terrain T/A KO 325/65R18 tires weigh 70 lbs, have a max load of 3860 lbs, have a maximum PSI of 65 psi, have a...
6L90 GM Transmission:
The Hydra-Matic 6L90 (production code MYD) is a six-speed automatic transmission produced by General Motors for use in rear- and rear-biased all-wheel-drive vehicles with a longitudinal powertrain orientation. Developed in-house by General Motors, the Hydra-Matic 6L90 is...
This info is for Matt and for reference, as well:
According to Isuzu, your engine code is L96, not the LQ9 like we thought:
The 6.0L V8 Vortec L96 is an engine produced by General Motors for use in its full-size heavy duty (HD) pickup trucks, vans, and SUVs. Displacing 6.0 liters in a V8...
