A very inspirational build and still love looking it over. I remember the first time I saw it I was in awe. Still has that effect on me...
To much chrome for my taste. And I can't think of anything non-commercial that I could put all those light poles to use. Enough money and you can do...
Lowering the CG would be my thought. A lot of folks mount their boxes high on the rails but given the nature of the beast, I want to sink my amob box down as far as I can get away with doing.
Heh, nice thing about being short is that's a non-issue. :)
But yes, the interior height varies greatly between make and models. It's not uncommon to find a 14-foot box that is at least 6', though.
I'm doing an ambo-box conversion on my LMTV (much like CoachGeo).

If you're only looking to do mild off-road then you could drop the trailer at a nice spot for base camp and use the truck to venture off further.
I've read a lot of good things about the C-Head.
Only issue that stuck out to me was getting the dreaded "gnats" or whatever little flies they are. Seems like once they get in the vehicle from the crapper, no matter what you do to the crapper they are damned hard to get rid of them. Don't...

"...Navigation and Music will be head phones"
Check the local laws (pretty much anywhere you plan to travel). Headphones or headsets are fine for the passenger, but the driver is "supposed" to only cover one ear in many states (I know CO is one).
I wear them in my off-road cars and open cars...
