Steve, you are way ahead of the game if you have all of that done already. You don't need any tips from me, lol.
Ditto on the sound dampening. Just make sure it is installed correctly. You are trying to change the resonant frequency of the various panels. I have seen installers cover an entire...
I am researching a bus bar or fuse block now for the NPR. A friend of mine manages a car audio store, so I will see what they have. Matt is using an sPod for light control and the winch is not wired yet, so we will need to find one soon to finish all the connections.
I can assure you that you...
Steve,
Kudos on the latest video. I presume with you guys living on the road, you may be a writer, designer or something that translates into working and traveling. I like the no nonsense approach, you know your strengths and weaknesses and the videos are well executed. It helps that you speak...
Matt and I had that discussion on the way back from OvEx last weekend. I run 45 or so in the 07 FE Fuso and it's better, not a Lexus, but better than 80 PSI with a light weight flat bed on it.
Hopefully the flat bed will be on the NPR soon and we will work on pressures then.
Cheers
Absolutely brutal!
Matt is taking the truck to the dealer tomorrow for them to check out a noise in the rear diff and a noise at the front right tire/wheel. After he gets the truck back from them (hopefully repaired), we hope to start on the flat bed and the 4WD conversion. He has the front...
Nothing that a credit or debit card dispute form can't fix if they don't get it done here in the next few weeks. You have at least 30 days to dispute the charges and probably longer depending on the card issuer.
Event completely shut down on SAT AM. No vehicles in or out. If you parked on the road, you got towed off. My hiking boots and lower pants legs were completely covered in muck, probably 3-4 inches deep or more in many places. This was not a little bit of mud on a dirt road or some wet grass. I...
We arrived in Fletcher to a sodden Taylor Ranch. They would not allow Matt to drive on the grass and the dirt roads are like pig slop. So we are parked at then of a gravel road near FWC
4wd will not be ready for OvEx, just not enough time. Matt has a Dana 60 from a one ton Chevy IIRC. That will be rebuilt and powdercoated hopefully in the next few weeks. Plans for now are to keep the NPR rear axle with 5.13 gears and use the OEM LSD. i am not sure about the front locker choice...
Matt and i have been in the shop working late, trying to get the truck ready for OvEx Asheville. Here are a few pics i had on my phone. Matt did all of the welding while i worked on getting the audio system installed (factory NPR radio was garbage), sPod wiring for Baja Designs LED's, relocating...
If this is thread of which you speak, there are no pics or vids left:

PS: host pics on Picassa or Flicker or better yet, put them in the forum so they don't go missing after a few years.
Easiest way to measure unusual sized or shaped objects for level is with a water tube level. Get a long piece of clear plastic hose and fill it to the level you want to check. No matter where you place it on the truck, house, yard, etc., the water line at each of the ends will always be level...
