Every year several thousand migrating sandhill cranes stop over in these cornfields near Palmyra, WI. They are only around for a few days before dispersing. There were quite a few this morning. It was really loud as the sun rose and they all started calling out.

Nice picture. I love that area of Nebraska. I saw those cliffs several years ago when I camped at Fort Robinson. Scottsbluff National Monument and Chimney Rock aren't too far away from there and are worth a visit too. There are lots of neat places in the flyover states if you look around.
