I imagine at full payload the Defender would feel superior in every category.

The coolant warning is due to the coolant level. It should be at the max line when cold if it’s anything like my D3 and D4. The suspension fault is troubling. However I have noticed it didn’t drop to the bump stops like the old trucks.

Pretty sure you don’t have to plug in. From what I’ve read about plug in hybrids is that they can self charge while driving just like a regular hybrid. The only thing thats different between a standard hybrid and a PHEV is that the PHEV can run in full BEV and be recharged at home or at a...

I mean the full size Range Rover still has a 24 gallon tank with the p400e without affecting payload. I would imagine the Defender will be the same way.

That would be around 3400 miles of range with a full tank and 4 five gallon cans. Absolutely bonkers.

Any problem running LR3 without cats?

IMO if your going to keep a vehicle long term I wouldn’t cheap out on cats. Since you’re looking at a vehicle to buy I would just find another example. If you already owned the vehicle it would be a different story. Cats usually don’t just fail something has to kill them so unless you know...

I mean look at TFL’s channel every LR video they have ever made has a higher view count than most of their videos even if the vehicle doesn’t break. Not only that but if he gets one and it’s decent sales will probably go up on the Defender as will aftermarket support.

    New Defender News

All CANBUS LR’s are finicky about their batteries. If the battery isn’t in perfect condition it’ll throw all kinds of faults. In fact IIRC LR had a TSB for the battery on the Defender. Or at least that’s what I remember hearing from powerfuluk’s channel. Frankly that battery could’ve been a...

    New Defender News

I’ve found in my experience most one time faults in LR’s are voltage related. In the event of the voltage dropping they typically shut down systems and that usually triggers a one time fault. I also know from experience they don’t show every small fault only if it involves a semi critical...
