Originally, I used a normal 12V socket. Because of the poor fit, I went to the prong type. THe 12v cord end unscrewed to reveal the plug. It doesnt show well in the picture, but the once the prongs are plugged in, the rest of the cap screws in to the plug to further secure it. Make sense?

You did get an old thread!! After seeing Trevor's plug in DV several years ago, I bought one from Wil at Sierra Expeditions and have it mounted in the LC....no more duct tape holding the plug in to the cheapie West Marine outlet.

I know of a 1991 that is for sale locally too....already has an OME lift kit, 235/85s, dual battery kit, and some other crap.

A short call to ARB USA lead to the solution! The struts did not come with the required spacer for this installation, hence the gap. The spacers are on their way from WA and I should be good to go.

Manufacturer suggests new nuts when the struts are swapped out; the lock nut came with the new OME struts. I stopped in to the local shop that did the struts and the owner told me to bring the vehicle in and they will make it right, but I'd still like to know what all is the matter.

Whoever buys the tent will like it. I ran this one on my 80 when I went to MX. It was sure nice to be able to pop the tent open the first night, and have camp ready in a few cranks, I awoke to a very nice sunrise the next morning.
