I would be more concerened about the front face going up where you go out to the ledge and back turning up to make the switchback turn. At least thats how us long 80 series wagons typically do that spot
These trucks are coming back down, but its to the left before the brown 80 makes the...
Mike. I think the myway and the Serengeti are the same tent. Thats what I got from my research. Another member posted up their serengeti in the thread I did on my GT
I thought the bottom of that was like the Oasis II I have. Kind of like a trampoline material to make it a comfortable platform to sleep on. Did you add some foam since the thin base is now against plywood?
gasman - Thanks for the input on the serengeti. I think I would have been happy with either and both Paul and Fernando are great vendors with excellent customer service.
It's nice to have options based on needs.
Had to take it on the highway so I could get the VIN checked and registered.
Thinking there is a need to do something with the big space between the tent and the roof (7"). Add Storage boxes, or a wind deflector.
Could tell there was a lot of wind channeling through there. Probably should...
Scott - Do you use your awning? Thinking because that adds so much weight to the tent that if it was removable (its not) that it would not be as akward to setup. Also curious if you stow ith your side panels and what you have to do special with that.
Scott
Thanks for your perspective
Where did you place the heater to ensure it didnt burn anything and did you run it while your sleeping? Did you think there was more ventalation with this tent?
On adding more material, can you tell me more about that?
Thanks
I had to take the awning off to get the tent on.
I had to trim the metal bracket to make a notch to make it fit. It just barley clears when installed as far passenger as you can get it. I used one of the old holes and drilled new for the rest.
I put tape on the bottom of the old holes and...
Don,
I will have to leave that question to someone who has camped already. I did not lay the floor down in my garage. I thought it was pretty cool I could set it up there. I barley made it past the ceiling
The poles I was talking about (Edited out of my post) were for the windows not the awning.
Paul May told me (He has same tent and a Chaser) that he always stows it with the room attached. I haven't gotten there (Stowing) yet. Also will likely be Spring before I try it out unless I get the...
Relative to the length of the materil on the walls, The bag had some very long stakes that go through the eyeholes near the bottom. Those look like they may work without needing additional material. Can't really tell in my garage :D
On other thing is that I will have to move the awning mount farther out to fit. I had to take it off the mount the tent. It should still work though oncfe monted a bit farther out. I remember Martyn posting about this
Then you can deploy the additional awning
Then add the Changing room
The tent is made of great materials and should be a lifetime investment and I enjoyed doing business with Paul May. Mario and Martyn from AT also provide a lot of great advice and I utilized their taller Roof...
I was first leaning towards the Serengeti, but many of my fellow club members helped review the choices with me and it came down to the fact that I would be using this by myself most of the time and with the Serengetti, you always have the changing room. The Eezi-awn provides flexibility to not...
I recently bought a used Adventure Trailer Horizon Model used from someone in Wyoming. It came with a really nice Overland RTT
And it fits nicely in my garage
I bought it knowing I wanted to swap out the roof Top Tent. Probably sounds silly that I wanted something more comfortable on a...
Wondering if other Horizon owners have installed storage shelfs/drawers or other containers in the side boxes.
Thinking the Drivers side is wide open and could section off with drawers, or slidout storage boxes and maybe a shelf and then an open area.
