Meaning the people who are still going on about reliability. Its like I said if you want reliability buy a Toyota. I personally have had decent luck reliability wise with LR’s. IMO life is too short to drive boring vehicles.

It depends on the warranty the indie my parents use to work on their LR4 from time to time does warranty work. Although they prefer to use our local dealer as they usually give them a free loaner Discovery or Range Rover for as long as the repair takes and they don’t get a loaner with the indie.

I have a question for you people who are concerned about reliability what exactly are you worried about failing?

Exactly in the beginning the Range Rover, Discovery, Defender all shared chassis design, suspension, axles and drivetrains. In the case of the Discovery and Range Rover they also shared similar body structures and interior.

So in other words what we’ve already been doing for the last 17 years. A gap diagnostic tool solves that issue. There are more Land Rover dealers than you think. I can think of five or six off the top of my head within a three hour radius of my house. Most decent sized cities have a LR dealer...

Here’s some more info. https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/document/3E/2020/T22693/38261_en_GBR/proc/G2389436 Land Rover also says not to go over 10% tongue weight in Australia.

Just saw on IG that Bowler has a new Defender sitting in their shop with some camouflage on it. I wonder what they’re cooking up.

To those of you who just absolutely hate air suspension you will be able to get springs for a 110 if you absolutely have to have them I’m almost positive the 110 commercial will have them as a option. I don’t see why you couldn’t buy the springs and related components then re-flash the vehicles...

More power, stiffer chassis, longer wheelbase, fully independent suspension, EAS, active shocks and bigger brakes make a huge difference in a vehicles towing and payload capacity. In theory lower profile tires have the advantage of greater stability as well.

That was my thought. I did some more research and found out that the i6 has two fans one that pulls air through the radiator just like the LR3/4 (it’s the identical fan assembly) and then it has a second one that pushes air from in front of the rad but that fan eats up all of the space in front...

Yes I’m aware of that. The Defender has a higher rated payload than the Wrangler or Land Cruiser. The Defender is around 1,900lbs the Wrangler JLU Rubicon is around 890lbs and the LC200 is around 1,600lbs.

IMO the biggest mistake they made was not going with the previous prototype that was built on the T5 platform that would’ve solved most problems.

Honestly if it weren’t for those dang radiators this thing would be cake to put a winch bumper on.

As far as I can tell by the diagram I saw there are no ducts for the radiators. From what I read it could be that not all of them have the aux radiators. There looks to be room behind the winch mount where the aux radiators could be relocated into a single larger radiator, you should be able to...

No they never did build a front bumper just the winch tray.

Found something kinda disappointing today on the new Defender. Those auxiliary radiators that the D5 has are on the new Defender as well in the exact same spot. That’ll make it a pain to fit a aftermarket winch bumper. Not impossible but definitely a pain. Other than that it looks pretty...

Actually if they do a V8 it’ll be a supercharged 5.0 like the Range Rover Sport supercharged/Sport SVR and FFRR so around 550-575hp. 300hp in the 4cyl is plenty for most people that’s what the V8 LR3 has and this vehicle is a lot lighter and it has a better transmission. The I6 I’m not sold on...
