Thanks for the info. I have only briefly been in the 2011 interior. It was the nicer version I think with power everything. I am wondering how the manual version compares. To me the 2011+ interior was very nice....but almost un-jeeplike it was so nice.

Just the door panel and 'armrest' area. How do you like the 2011 interior? I also heard there was a change in the window ( upper ) of the half door. Something about a smaller opening.

I have WAY over 300K on my 1992 Dodge Cummins. The only part that I have replaced that would have put me out of the game was the water pump. The bearing was bead and leaking. The replacement pump as been good for 3+ years now. Other than the water pump the only thing I have to the engine done...

My advice. Wait for the 2012 version. While the Pentastar is a marked improvement, the new auto transmission is going to be as much of an improvement I feel.

Which speaker boxes? The kick panel pods for the separates are wood, fabric, fiberglass, and then undercoating to make them match the vinyl floor. The winch project is still in the works. I am moving over the next week or two to a new place with a SHOP!!!! No more driveway fab for me...

From what I understand the Rubicon auto will come stock with 3.73 or taller gears. The 4.10 gears are a no cost option. The option sheet shows 3.73 gears as an option for other models, so I think they some with 3.4X or 3.2X gears stock. Working the math from the stock gearing on the grand...

The new auto is NOT the 545 that is used behind the hemi. The 'new' auto is the W5A580. The gear ratios are... 3.59, 2.19, 1.41, 1.00, 0.83 Note the DEEP 1st gear.... Note the close 5th overdrive.... The axle gearing on most of the Pentastar applications so far has been VERY tall with this...

I did the steering shaft when I converted to crossover steering. It was a HUGE improvement. Thank you for the parts links.

I do like this truck. I wish that there was an LMC style catalog with all the little parts for these trucks. I think that is one area where the same year Ford or GM product has a leg up.

I like the maddogs. They seem to be wearing great, less noise, better mileage, etc. If I was going to build another one I would find a dually bed to use. If you take the fender flares off you end up with a HUGE wheel opening kinda like I have after I cut everything. In the front, I would order...
