That is reassuring Cliff. But the crux of the matter is that in making the modification to your shell FRP has contradicted themselves on their own guidelines.
As you told me during our frequent phone conversations "AT seems to know more about this product than FRP does".
While your rack set...
There is no problem with a load directly on the shell. The issue of load comes when you rotate the shell open, and the additional forces it applies to the hinge and torsion bar.
Mike, I think you are right in regular conditions. Living up in Truckee with low winter temperatures my batteries are challenged getting the engine to crank fast enough to start the engine if I haven't plugged the block heater in.
I also have an on board air system with a 1.5 hp compressor...
I think the basic primary charging system is good. I'd get rid of the Optimas as soon as you can. When you replace double batteries you should replace them in pairs if you don't older weaker battery will fail in quick succession.
The only thing I will be doing with mine is replacing the long +...
I wouldn't worry about having the truck sit for a week or two, that is unless you have a drain in your electrical system somewhere.
The batteries are connected in parallel each of them ground to the chassis and a long cable going from the alternator to the battery on the passenger side, over...

Any additional weight on the roof section of the FlipPac is not recommended. In fact doing so revokes the warranty.
The reason for this is that the torsion bar is set fro the weight of the roof itself. I know a track and or towers don't seem that much to add but when it's multiplied by...
Sorry Doc, it's not your wonderful Tacoma:smilies27
It a Tundra.
Sharing the love. Your famous vehicle needs way more exposure than just the stinking AT FlipPac page
A few teething problems.
The links to the main pages needed to be refreshed, they are now working.
The link from the AT website to E commerce site will open the e commerce site in a new window as soon as I can get that changed.
Well after months of work the site has gone live :sombrero:
You can reach it either through our website and click on the "Shopping" button in the top navigation bar. Or you can go direct to the store here.
It would be really helpful to us if you could provide us with feedback on the store...
The D2 is lug centric.
You need an adapter to go from 5 on 6.5 to 5 on 120, straight forward.
You'll need to supply the Land Rover wheel studs to be pressed into the adapter.
Make sure the people who make them know the size of the studs on the Sankey, 16mm I think, and the size of the lug...
AT is the official retailer for aftermarket rain flys for both AT FlipPacs and regular FlipPacs. we'll have more information available on the flys on our website soon.
I would treat the whole fly sheet with a Nikwax product like TX Direct or Tent and Gear Solar Proof.
Failing that we are selling aftermarket flysheets made by a different company.
Or what he said above :-)
Quite a few people use this solution.
All you have to do is open the air valves on the thermarests and fold the tent away, or pack the tent away as is the case with the Globetrotter. They compress themselves.
If one of you finds the mattress fine and the other too hard just put a therma rest...
Information will be released on the new TASS 4 suspension in due course.
We are currently waiting on more hours to be officially included in a day so that we can get to everything:sombrero:
