    FNG " MK75" Build Thread !

Hey Marshall! Glad you put up a picture, you have one nice rig my friend. Those valve seals should probably do the trick and the seafoam couldn't hurt either. Some more guys should post up soon for more technical support.

    Looking for first expedition/overland rig

I drive a Montero for a reason. ;). Look up pajero on Wikipedia and see for yourself. Or google pajero/ montero and do a bit of research.

Gen 2 Montero SR vs. later Gen 2 Trooper

Not an issue if the ABS doesn't work. Mine isn't equipped with ABS and it is just fine. If the brakes lock, well that's just like how the cars without ABS work. Just pump the brakes if needed. No use crying over spilt milk though. Did you mean to say SR for that rig?

That was the montero sport. As said, the montero and montero sport aren't the same thing.

    Tire issues - Dry rot?

Take it offroad on some rocks. If they are weak, they will fail. If they are good, they should survive. You can abuse them and cause the side walls to fail. That should be reason enough to get new ones.

    Looking for first expedition/overland rig

A Tahoe for 4x4 of the year? Lol Oh, Montero and Montero Sport are not the same. Just thought I'd make that clear. Though the sport is a fine over lander.

    Looking for first expedition/overland rig

The raider is the same as a 1st generation 2 door montero. As soon as the 2nd generation came out, they were Mitsubishi exclusively. The first generation was available from 82 till 91. 91 to 99 was the second generation with 98 and 99 models having a different motor and gearing along with fender...

    Looking for first expedition/overland rig

Ahem, I really like the fact of them being a secret. If people start buying them, our prices for support will increase. So, yeah, they're just okay.... Hint hint. Work with me here.

    Looking for first expedition/overland rig

Check this out http://www.fourwheeler.com/howto/128_9704_cheap/viewall.html I'm biased towards my Mitsubishi (see build thread in sig) partly because of the low entry cost. A little wrench turning and they are bombproof. There are many makers out there to choose from and one will be right...

    Thoughts on this gen 2.5?

It's 99 dollars for the vacuum solenoid. Sets on the front right wheel well and takes 5 minutes to replace. It's fairly idiot proof too. I can find a part number for you if you decide to get it. 99% of the time, this fixes the problem. If you can check the resistance on each side, and get back...

No worries, try to put some triangular tabs in the corners where you tie it into the frame and you should be fine.
