i have a front hitch on my truck for use of a cradle mounted 10k winch. hitch is on, and winch is mounted in the cradle. as you can see, the cradle is right up on the bumper. this isnt soo much of an issue, right now, but will probably be when i put my BullMaxx bullbar on... my solution...

thanks guys. i'll look into the Diehard Plat. the reason for the hitch mount set up is that i dont go wheeling that much, so the winch can sit in the garage till its needed. then, when i do go out wheeling, the winch can sit in the bed of the truck till needed.

I just got the smittybilt xrc10 myself. Heard great thing about SB's, and the price was good. 400 for a new 10k winch, compared to 600 or more for some warn 8 or 9k's i've seen. Havent gotten to use it yet, tho.

looks good on there! i went with the Surco (pricey, i know) but my truck didnt have a factory rack system, and the surco came with the rails to mount to the roof.
