I’d vote Rebel 2500 gas. The payload is nearly double my power wagon (~1350lbs). If I was in the market for a new truck, that’s where I’d be. But outside that consideration, I’ve really loved our Ram. Just a great pickup and has served us very well, and been put through the paces too.
My BIL...
Luckily my wife prioritizes me prioritizing it.
“Did you schedule your (insert dr here)?”
Annual dr, FAA dr, and dermotologist
Twice annual dentist
Not saying I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been, but at least I’ve got some good eyes on it with me. 😂
We had an ATO habitat on our rig when our daughter was born. Previous, my wife and I probably did 50/50 on camping and staying for 2-3 days vs traveling every day (which we did a lot more with the xterra and sleeping inside). I loved the room of the habitat and the weight and simplicity of it...
If you ever get the chance to go to the Valdez STOL/Fly-in up here in AK…. It is insane. A really cool event.
But yeah, there’s folks that have a two-seat plane on 35s that cost more than many rigs here and can land/take off in the length of an earthroamer. Watching them play out on glacial...
How do you know if a pilot walks into a room?
Don’t worry. They’ll tell you.
I know I’m not alone on here in working in aviation and/or using aircraft to access other types of outdoor adventures. Any interest in a light sub category or just thread for us that like to play in thinner air?
Might as well have been. No wind and 70F with water and tundra everywhere….
Those little bastards made me want to murder something. But 40F today and might snow tomorrow, so…. Hopefully they all die. 😂
212k ish on my 07
Replaced timing chains and guides at 200k, plugs every 100k, cats were done/deleted around 150k I think?
Other than SMOD contamination costing me a new transmission, it’s run strong
Got some update build pics from Cache
We are staying really basic, so no interior stovetop or sink. Right side “nook” will hold our fridge, and Cache installed the ARB fridge fitting in there for us to keep the other 12v outlets at the edge of the dinette open for other uses. Water is a simple...
Where in the Andes? I attempted Aconcagua 10 years ago and part of my heart still lives in that region. Spectacular mountain range.
Meanwhile….
Colville River Delta, North Slope of Alaska looking north to the Arctic Ocean this morning
Couple oldies but goodies
Wrangell St Elias NP with the xterra. Had a big grizzly sniff around our tent that night, so wife ended up moving to the xterra vs stay in the tent. 😂
Cooper Lake with the PW and our old AT Habitat
