    Gen3 Lift and Tires DONE!!!

Hey Bonham, thanks for the comments and sorry for the really late reply. The 3" is only available in Australia. A good friend of mind was kind enough to ship them over even though it is a hassle. If you contact Kieron from Bushskinz he will be able to help you out. Mine are the HD Lovells with...

    Gen3 Lift and Tires DONE!!!

Thanks you all for your comments. I've been driving all over the past couple of days to test the new suspension out. Yesterday I towed a fully loaded 12' trailer. I was expecting the rear end to go down a bit but to my surprise it didn't even move. Instead the trailer was bit tilted the whole...

    Gen3 Lift and Tires DONE!!!

Hey everyone, I finally got my new lift kit and tires installed today. I went with 3" Lovells HD Springs and OME Nitrocharger Sport Shocks. Also went up a tire size and got BFGoodrich All-Terrains 265/75/R16. I got exactly 3" lift from the springs and about 0.5" from the tires. Overall the ride...

    Need help from GEN3 Owners!!!

Thank you All for your advice. They were able to take it out in less then 5 minutes at my local Discount Tire. I didn't want to miss the $60 mail in rebate which ends next Tuesday so I ordered 5 new 265/75/R16 BfGoodrich All-Terrains and hopefully they will be installed tomorrow!

    Need help from GEN3 Owners!!!

I'm going to be putting new tires on the Monty as soon as I get the lift done next week. So today I pulled the spare tire cover off so I can remove all the plastic crap so the larger tire can fit. And to my surprise the Spare Tire has a wheel lock on it. I did not receive the code lug when I...

    4 Low

Which gear are you on while you are trying to put it into 4 Low? You can shift between 2Hi and 4Hi while the car is in "Drive" and under 60mph. But to switch into 4Low you need to be stationary and the transmission needs to be in "Neutral"...Give that a try and see if if works!

    Gen 3 Under body Protection

No worries Tony. I will definitely let you know and post some pics when I get them installed. I agree with you about the OME's. Even though Bilstein is a good company I would trust the OME's with my life. My dad has OME HD setup on his Land Rover Defender 110 and that truck has been to hell and...

    Gen 3 Under body Protection

I was born in Tyler but my parents and I moved to Turkey when I was 5 due to my parents jobs. I came back to Tyler about 2 years ago to attend TJC (I'm guessing you know about it) and most of the family still lives there. I recently moved to San Marcos to attend Texas State University to finish...

    Gen 3 Under body Protection

I actually haven't had the chance to meet Kieron in person. My cousin who lives in Sydney, Australia knows him and told me Kieron was the guy to talk to about Pajero's. I e-mailed him a couple months back to get some info on HD Springs and we have been in touch since then. I was talking to him...

    Best Source for Info?

Hey gotmud, There are a lot of different Montero's out there but The Gen3(2001-2006) will probably be the best choice for your needs. The Gen3 Montero comes in two trims. The Montero XLS and the Montero Limited. The XLS is the basic version which still comes pretty loaded from factory. The...

    Help from the experts please

Hey krawler, this model is called Montero Sport in the U.S and Shogun/Pajero Sport overseas. I previously owned a 2000 Montero Sport and I must say I have had nothing but problems. I drove the MS for about 35,000 miles and had to change the breaks, had to change the rear right shock twice, had...

    newbie question

Hi Ollip, Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I do not have the answer to your first question because I have not yet purchased the lift. For better throttle responce I went for the Air Intake Kit by HKS. I haven't noticed too much of hp gain, but the throttle responce it definiately better. Also...

Lovell's Springs for Gen 3 Montero?

Yeah that might be true. The people I talked to were running 265/75/r16's which I am planning to run soon. I'm just trying to gain some more info to see if it is worth importing a set or just going with the OME setup. The Lovells cost about $300 more with shipping and handling included. But if...

Lovell's Springs for Gen 3 Montero?

Has anyone used the Lovell's Springs for their lift? My cousin in Australia told me they give 3" lift vs. the 2" the OME setup provides on the Gen 3 Montero! I looked at a couple of pictures of Gen 3 Pajero's in Australia and they really do look a little higher then the vehicles with OME...

    New Gen 3 Montero Limited!!!

Yeah, I know. I definitely agree with you on the chrome. The tires that are on it have only been on for 10,000 miles so I don't want them to go to waste. We had snow last week and they did pretty good in 4x4. But they would definitely get stuck in mud. So I figured in the mean time while I'm...

    New Gen 3 Montero Limited!!!

Thanks Aaron, I'm hoping to get the OME HD kit soon. That's probably the first thing I'll go for. When I have more funds I will go for the 265/75/R16 BFG A/T and after that a warn winch and ARB bumper. It will be a slow build but it will get there. I saw your new ARB bumper by the way. It is...
