So I lowered the coil-overs about 1.5 inches to match up the 2.5 lift I have in back. Much better angle on the front drive shafts!! Thank you all for the advise. So now it is going to be a ARB rear air locker or new seats, or both.

2001 Tacoma Overland (So it Begins)

Thanks Much. I believe that Chris over at Hefty Fab is going to work out a kit for this modification. Since most people do not have a welder at their disposal. But I am sure we will weld one on mine.

So the differential drop is done. Now how much should I take the coil overs down? I am showing 1 3/4 inches of thread, I took it down to 1 3/8 but it took quite an effort.

2001 Tacoma Overland (So it Begins)

Thank you!! So the kit came with a front Differential drop kit. I am going to install it tomorrow. Will this help this issue at all? Also in the picture, I have the wheels cranked over to expose the shock for a better pic... But I am sure this is not so much the issue you are speaking of. I...

2001 Tacoma Overland (So it Begins)

It was the first one for them. Since it was the first one, the price was just between Chris and myself. Chris says he will be putting it into their regular line up soon.

2001 Tacoma Overland (So it Begins)

Ok... Why? And as well, why should I crank them down? The truck actually rides nice and does not do the Caddillac Bob anymore. With carrying the excess weight of the Winch and the bumper, should I have it cranked up a little?

I will take some tomorrow of the latches. I know they use Timken bearings on the spindles, but have no idea where the spindles are from. I am sure you could ask them, they are really nice people.

More Pics I just ordered the upgrade for my suspension from Toytech. Bilstein coil-overs for the front, and Bilstein for the rear with OME Dakar full springs. After that comes the ARB rear locker, then the A/T Flipack.

Hello Amigos. Just beginning the build of my 2001 Toyota Tacoma for, hopefully retirement in a couple of years, expedition of wherever I end up going. This is the start. I just took possession of the first stage or my build, which is a front and rear bumper from Hefty Fabrications here in...

Suspension Seats for a 2010 Taco

This is a really cool idea. Are you absolutely sure they will bolt right up to the existing mounting holes?

    Suspension Questions

Have no idea about the bumper weights as of yet. The rear has a swing away spare tire carrier, and double jerry can carrier. Front is full 3/8 plate steel, with ability to have a winch put in. Probably a XD9000i. Back will be a A/T FlipPac. Probably drawers, fridge, etc. for full expedition...

    Suspension Questions

Hello. I am about to get some custom bumpers that I ordered for my 2001 Tacoma from Hefty Fabrications here in Colorado Springs, which I will post later. I have 33" BFG All Terrain K/O's with a 3" suspension lift, which rides terrible with Rancho 9000 shocks. My questions are; What...
